Ive noticed people are calling 2 different numbers to try and win. I dont understand this... Do you even hAve to buy chips to try to win? What are the differences between the numbers? Somebody explain please.

No you dont have to buy chips the phone call is an instant win thing either you win or it says sorry u r not an instant winner today and if you win its says congrats you won a skylander just follow the prompts when you call. good luck

In my mind, I'm rationalizing that buying the chips guarantees you a win, AND gets you a 100% confirmation on getting one. With the phone calls, they could easily be like "oh, we were unable to understand you" or whatever.

Good luck to all those winning on the phone though. If it works, I've got 2 Stumpys coming!

so many people are worried about being disqualified or not getting the figures or whatever, but i dont think they want 7,000 stump smashes sitting around their offices, so im assuming they will send them to whoever won just to get rid of them.

I think they are going to disqualify people who entered for Stump more than once, so everyone has a chance to get one.

I spoke with a rep and he said I could enter once per day even if I already won. If anything, I think they would disqualify all future entry's and still give you the one.

I called the 800 number and it says "Congratulations. You've won."

I just won though I called the Flocked stump smash number. It said "Congrats you just won a skylanders figure" Gave them my info and all that, but when you call do the specify that its flocked stump smash? Or did I just win a random figure? I'm confused lol.
Either way I'm good with either.

Okay cool, yeah cus I called the 800 number, it just threw me off when it said I won a "Skylander Figure" not "Flocked Stump Smash" so I was just wondering lol cool cus Flocked stumpy was what I wanted lol.

It's just lack of participation....just think of how many of you went on a hunt to find these bags I chips. How many people, besides me, even came across the stumpy bags??

We looked at the one store in our town that even had a possibility of carrying the Stump Smash bag, and found nothing. Won him on the phone though.

I was just saying that to prove a point. I know barely anyone found them. The circulation of the promotion was poor, and the results of that are a lack of participation....that's why everyone is winning, I assume.

I assume so too, and yes, I agree with your point. If they're going to be exclusive to the Albertson's chain, they should be absent from literally zero Albertsons country-wide. Otherwise, what's the point of the sweepstakes at all?

Thats true. I mean I only was able to find the $1.00 of bags at walmart, and that was by sheer accident/fluke. I was on the Isle looking for skylanders figures not chips, but found them and needed some snacks so I just nabbed me about 3 of them. Furthermore I got it for the chips not the promotion (Though it sorta helped persuade me to buy them, but I've always bought those big bags of snack sized chips anyways) so it was just sorta a win/win situation for me lol.

But I was unaware of the other promotions, I've been in and out of Target so many times since this thing started and just haven't looked since I usually don't buy food there :/ lol.

This promotion was pretty full of problems

-They dispersed this promotion to a subsidiary, and unfortunately, it appears that there was some serious miscommunication on all parts for information.
-Having so many confusing and similar "win bags". I mean, if they wanted to give out a special edition one, they should have had ONE single promotion. You enter a code, and you either win a random figure, or you win the Flocked Stumpy.
-Having the bags at ALL stores. Leaving it up to one small chain that has different stores in each state, PLUS the fact that every single store apparently didn't have them all. WTF is up with that? I'd be fine if I could go to a Acme store and find them, but I went to THREE different ones (the only ones up here) and NONE had the bags! Not even the regular Skylanders ones!


I posted in another thread about this (or maybe this one?). What I'm thinking is that they're sort of testing the waters for Sidekicks. They're getting feedback from seeing how popular the promotion is, etc. Now that they see virtually no one knew about it unless they had an announcement (which they FINALLY did, with about a week left to go till the end of the promotion..) they'll have a more powerful ad campaign for the Sidekicks.

It says subject to verification. What does that mean? Do they call you before shipping?

I think they're just making sure your address is real. I'm not sure anyone would do it, but they wouldn't send out a figure to a I.C. Weiner who lives on 1234 Poopsalot Lane.

I agree their testing promotion for sidekicks..and also their lack of advertising on this current promo is giving a chance for everyone calling to win.

Did frito lay think putting skylanders on their bag would make them an instant sell out, on sight alone?? I just don't get it. You would think winning a flocked stump smash would be like finding Willy Wonka's golden ticket....and it should be. They really dropped the ball on this one!! Like I said, let's just hope phase 2 hits more store shelves than phase 1 did....and let's hope they don't pull 3 different variations of the same promotion again. I can see it now...one sidekick for each side of the country...exclusives to each store chain...or something dumb. Hoping NOT, but wouldn't surprise me at all.

Skylanders Sidekicks Swap Meets held nationwide in grocery stores. People standing out front with will trade ... for ... placards.

albertsons by my house must have about 50 stumpy bags

I just won on both lines a flocked stumpy and a regular Skylander thats the way to finish my day.

Finally called a second time and I am now 2 for 2 on the stumpys!

I found some of the random skylander bags at both Big Y and Price Chopper stores. No more Stump Smash ones though.

On the back of the card you have the code on, you'll see a url to enter it on. One is for the random, one is for Stumpy, and one is for the Rune's Run game. It all depends on what bag you got it out of, and you can't use it for a different promotion (ie, you can't use the random code for Stumpy)

I input my code and of course it said I didn't win the character but I won access to a free game. Now while uploading it crashed and now I can't get back to that screen because my code has already been used. Is Runes Run an actual new mini game within Skylanders Universe? I thought it was but I don't see anything and when I called for help the guy on the phone had no clue what I was talking about.

@icecube: It's a mini game, yeah. It's over on the lefthand side where the sheep launching game is. You go up the little platform, and you'll see the markers for it and another Mabuu.

As previously stated, a "day", is defined as a time period between 12:00:00am CST and 11:59:59pm CST. So if you called at 11:59 pm, and then at 12:01am...it would be an entry once in each "day". You just need to know the time zone difference to know what times those are in your time zone...if it isn't already CST.

I hope this doesn't come off as snide, but how do you mess pressing 1 twice and then entering your birthday?
