Wolffe, thanks for posting the pictures. That's pretty much what my setup looks like with the Sortmasters. The fact that they don't stack together doesn't bother me since they never leave the house anyway. I've searched high and low from tool shops, department sores and even craft shops. These were the only ones that could fit most of the figures upright.

When I took my Sunburn up to Home Depot, and put it in a sortmaster, it's top yellow horn poked out. Same with Chop Chop and Ignitors swords. That's when I grabbed my Skylanders and walked out the door. However, the employees were looking at me wierd, for holding a Skylander in my hand.

There's obviously variances with the toys because out of the 3 you mentioned only Ignitor slightly touches the lid. Sunburn, Chop Chop and L-Chop Chop have no clearance issues.

I'm thinking that the original packaging (which is very tight) compresses swords, horns, wings and when you remove the toy it remains in that position.

Or maybe GM's current storage cases are causing slight disfigurement of his Skylanders. Not enough that you would notice, but something that happens over time.

The Sortmaster Jrs. don't hold every figure perfectly. So that's true, Himewad. I've noticed that some of my figures have become a little "squished" from being in the cases.

I'm leaning more toward the idea that maybe all of our figures are a bit different.

I literally have my characters in the Sortmaster Jr. cases, without any bending, except for Zook's rocket. At the same time, Tig states his figures do bend in the Sortmaster Jr. cases, but not in the XL case, where mine bends - seriously - in the XL case.

I have mine rigged and feng shui'd to where they sit nice and tight in the Sortmaster Jr. without bending anything other Than Zook's rocket. I will be working on him when I get home. I would have done it now, but I have gone back to finishing my rewrite on a script, in order to get it sold to Hollywood.

Zook is the only issue, and if need be, I will alter a couple of characters, thus making it so NO Skylanders bend in my case, despite it only being 1.

Like my pictures showed, in my collection only Ignitor and Chop Chop touch the lid slightly in the Sortmaster. Besides the Pirate Ship, nothing else really even comes close... including Sunburn.

I'm certainly not that picky to worry about a little bit of pressure on the sword tips. It's not enough to ever noticably affect their form... and as we seem to have shown, all the figures seem to differ slightly anyway.

My son loves these cases... particularly after adding the stickers. He knows that every figure has its spot and he makes sure they all go back in their place. I guess this is the start of the OCD transfer...

I somehow misplaced the sticker for Slam-Bam so I found his picture online, printed my own on photo paper, and stuck it to the case with a glue stick. It turned out great (Canon MG6120 - awesome printer). The only way you can tell the difference is that the paper is slightly thicker if you look closely enough. Now I kinda regret not printing them all and saving the stickers... but then again, I'd just be saving the stickers for nothing.

I was also torn about putting the stickers insider or on top. I decided inside so that you can still sorta see the figures through the lid... however, it does make it difficult to get a good look at the sticker images.

I just put our figs in this case last night and I love it. I put the air elements and the fire elements in the side drawers (because Whirlwind and Sunburn are so bulky with their wings), and three elements on each of the larger halves along with two adventure sets. Still have two spots on each half where I will put the legendaries, and Dark Spyro is in a top side drawer. Leaves me with five side drawer spots remaining.

I'll probably have to remove a divider to accommodate Wham Shell's mace, but I can handle that. Very happy to have everything in one case.

I just picked up one of these this morning at another Home Depot and placed all my loose Skylanders figures (I haven't opened them all yet) into it.

It's pretty nice, but some figures just barely fit and further thoughts about actually transporting them around had me thinking, maybe it'd be better if I add some foam lining in it.

Of course, I don't know where they actually sell foam, so that means I gotta do some looking around, but I was wondering if anyone was able to fit all 37 characters into this case? ...and if so, how much space is left over?

Any help with this would be appreciated since I still haven't received Wham-Shell yet.

Foam can be found in any craft store, like Michael's or JoAnn Fabrics.

Is it really the end of the world if some figs get bumped around a bit? Good grief.

I'm glad someone else shares my opinion in that regard. It's hard to tell around here sometimes.

Disclaimer: I never actually mentioned this, I am merely implying that this is fantastic and I would get one if I could.

I will now possibly use this as the basis for a display unit I will create myself, if I get the time.

@XtShock ... That's a nice display, but there aren't nearly enough slots for even the basic 32 figures, let alone the legendaries, Dark Spyro or the adventure packs.

That manufacturer has racks which can hold more.

I thought those displays on Ebay looked okay, but inconsistent due to where each slot was placed. Now I am glad I never bit, because you have to move characters like Chop Chop and Ignitor outward, just to allow their swords clearance.

Yea the dealer has a whole set, I just bought one piece cause I keep 8 (one of each element) right in front of my t.v. next to my portal for easy access. Eventually I'll be getting the whole set to fit them all in, I don't really mind pieces sticking out. It looks nice.

Yup, you got it 46 is the actual number. I put four Adventure Pack items in each upper drawer since the top drawer on each side is only one cell. The two large cells in the upper corners of the Sortmaster trays are huge as seen in the pic holding two Adventure Packs. This would actually make a great case got Giants as well and especially at that price of $24.99. That's really the kicker for me. I'm sure there might be better cases out there but I have a hard time believing that I will find something better than this at this price point.

Not sure if anyone looked into these much at all. My work just bought these and I don't have any Skylanders at work with me, but they look big enough to hold the vast majority. It would be similar to GM's but it would be clear. The other cool thing is they have a box that is white that you can store them in to make it look nice and organized.

They are probably cheaper at a place like Storables where my company got em. But I'll update Monday. Just thought I'd throw another alternative to look into.

Only problem with the sachel box, is even if it holds Skylanders upright, it doesn't snap together for travel. You would need 3 cases still, to hold everything, and you would have some open slots being unused.

I think one day, Stanley will just happen to release a case deep enough that it can hold any Skylander item upright, as well as snap together. They wouldn't be doing it for the sake of Skylanders, but they would just be doing it in general.

I got the XL sortmaster and it is perfect! Thanks for posting this! I have been trying to find something to hold them all for awhile. I was able to get them to fit with no problem! I did have to put Ignitor, Sunburn, Chop Chop, and Voodood in the side pockets but thats okay. I was able to keep the elements together pretty well. I see in the OP pics that the elements are all together as well with the exception of the few that have to go in the sides.
