Do alot of Gamestop orders come in damaged packages? And is there anyway to fix this.

If you order eight or nine at a time, chances are you will have a couple that will be fine. =P But no idea in all honesty.

I've ordered a few from Gamestop and none of them came damaged including the Wham-Shell I just got in today's mail.

My Wham Shell that came in today was a little smashed up. The figure worked fine so I didn't care. It seems that alot of people have been complaining about Gamestop's packaging lately.

If you order 1-2 figures the box is just big enough to slide them in with no extra space. They're probably getting pressed and smashed during shipping. Just my thoughts.

Actually dbaez2, I'd say TRU is the one that everyone is complaining about. The Cynder I bought was perfectly fine. It even had that plastic over the top of the blister, plus the little bubble, AND it was in a box.

I'd imagine if you buy a bunch, they'll probably try cramming as many into the box as possible, but if you have a problem with it, they should be able to get you a new one if you call, or in the least, some sort of percent off your next order.

Wow I guess I got lucky; mine came in a sturdy little box with good padding. It arrived in perfect condition and it's now sitting @ level 10 with maxed out abilities.

I've had FIVE seperate orders from gamestop. Flameslinger and Drill Sergeant, Whirlwind and Double Trouble, Cynder, Pirate Seas, and Warnado and Camo. There was never more thantwo figures in the box at a time. I get the impression that most customers with claims of mutilation of packages during shipping are getting multiples. Ordering small numbers at a time and single quantities of figures seems to be a good strategy. I have never had an issue with damaged packages from Gamestop.

Mine was pretty beat up.

I have ordered from gamestop (one at a time or three) and mine always come in perfect condition.

Mine arrived with absolutely no problems. And before someone asks the inevitable, "Why is there more than one there?", it's because my friend and I both collect Skylanders and pick them up for one another as we're able. Since I was up when the Wham Shell GameStop orders began and he wasn't, I bought one for each of us to ensure that he didn't miss out. Remember, if I were even remotely a scalper, there'd be a BUNCH on that table.

When I ordered my Camo and Warnado, they arrived with absolutely no problems. They were in a large box with packing around them. Maybe it's the type of shipping you select that influences how well the 'Landers are shipped?

And it's kinda sad that you have to make a defensive statement now to prevent yourself from getting attacked. I know there's a handful of members on here who jump the gun a little too much. It's such a shame that supply and demand is causing so much stress.

Isn't it though? Maybe now that more stock is becoming available and some folks who have kept stirring the pot have moved on since completing their collections, this board will get back to the friendly place it seemed to be when I joined. I signed up to be part of a community of Skylanders enthusiasts, not an ever escalating rage fueled peeing contest.

There are a whole bunch of threads that I haven't participated in specifically because of that type of nonsense. Hopefully we're past the downward spiral and can get back to the business of being fans and enthusiasts and building a community.
