If I remember correctly, yeah they pass it off to the regular post office in your city for delivery. If it's there now, and depending on how far away you live, you should get it today or Monday.

I too order the Legendary 3pack from Toys R Us last week. I tracked it on the UPS website. When it got real close to me it also stated it had been transferred to the post office but a UPS driver delivered it to my house the next day. I dunno why but I got it so I didn't care. Relax, yours is on it's way. Enjoy them! They look soooo good in my collection.

Yes it's called home delivery service. Basically TRU (or whoever uses it) ships the package out through UPS. Once it arrives to your local distribution hub they bring it to your local post office. So you will get the package in your regular mail. It usually takes 1-2 days for delivery once it gets to the post office.

What ToxicFate said. I've bought several things from TRU online and the same thing happened with all of it. The UPS Brings it to your local post office and USPS brings it to you with your regular mail. Don't fret you'll get it

Fedex do this too, I guess it is easier for USPS to bring it with your mail, instead of them doing it.

I work for USPS what this means is that ups Transfered it to the post office because they go to every door everyday and it help eleviate their load. we get stuff from fed ex as well they come in drop shipments. but there should be another tracking number for the post office as we do not use the same ones

It has nothing at all to do with UPS being "incompetent" to deliver your package. Check the tracking and it will say that the service is SurePost, which is a hybrid--UPS takes it up to a certain point, but the postal service handles the final delivery.
SurePost is a cheaper (and slower) service than UPS Ground--TRU is just trying to save money. |

Fed Ex and UPS, BOTH deliver parcels to the post office. They prepare a mass manifest with the tracking numbers, and when they drop the parcels....it tracks that it is at the post office...however, that doesn't always mean it is there. You have to wait until you see an "arrival at unit" scan from your local USPS. All packages arriving in the current business day are delivered on the following day, unless they arrive early enough for them to be processed on the same day as arrival. The packages that usually arrive are the ones on the outskirts of town, aka...the last mile. Is too costly for them...to travel that far out of the center....when the mailman is going there anyway. You can track your package at www.usps.com. It should begin with 420 then your zip code...etc.

UPS does not do anything on Sundays. The post office delivers Express mail packages mailed on Saturdays, when a Sunday delivery is available and a $12.50 fee is paid. The package you are looking for will be dropped by the local driver to the local post office...all of which are closed on Sundays.

Sometimes UPS does seem to work on Sundays--around Christmas, and sometimes for packages from major shippers like Amazon and QVC. I've never heard of them *delivering* on Sundays though. They just don't offer that service, no matter how much you pay.
Regarding the other poster--the hybrid UPS/USPS service is not just for rural or "last mile" delivery service. I do the majority of my shopping online (no car) and get a lot of packages. I'm very close to downtown Dallas, not out in the boonies or in a small town. The packages that are delivered by the post office--SmartPost, SurePost, and Mail Innovations--do not get the full tracking and insurance afforded to packages that are delivered by UPS and FedEx. They are cheaper services that some vendors use to save money. They take longer to arrive, and the last leg of the journey (from post office to your home or office) is hard to predict. It can sometimes take just one extra day to as much as an entire extra week to arrive on your doorstep. For that reason I avoid these services as much as possible. That isn't possible with TRU, unfortunately, but I always choose UPS ground or FedEx ground when I have that option. |

Well, from my understanding, it doesn't matter what service you pick 2 day shipping on a Friday will not arrive on Sunday, it will be Monday, atleast from my experience with items other than Skylanders.
UPS, FedEx and USPS WILL sometimes work on Sunday to get packages ready for Monday, but nothing will be delivered on Sunday.
