I am amused that so many are worried about missing out on the basic 32 figures. I was like that for about a minute two weeks ago. We had just recently bought the kids the starter pack on the TRU half-price sale and there were far too many people paying premium prices on Ebay. I was worried that they would actually discontinue some of the characters. But, I've aquired 30 of 32 in just 3 weeks. Just by being patient. Do you really have to have a specific figure as soon as it's released? I was in a TRU a few days back and they had 17 Legendary Trigger Happy figures just hanging on the hooks, not to mention a half-dozen or more of several wave 1 and 2 characters. I happened to walk into a Gamestop on shipment day and got Ignitor, Warnado, and Camo singles, as well as the Cynder/Zook/Lightning Rod 3-pack (though spread out over two different weeks, mind you).

I'll say it again...Just be patient. They've just been released. Don't bow to $20+ Ebay prices when you can just hang out for a week or three and then find them readily on the shelves. I guarantee that by the summer, the shelves will be overstocked with them. And then we get to buy all 32 of them over again this fall. Not to mention the 4 light powered variants, 8 giants, a new game, new expansions, and of course the forseable gold/silver/etc. variants...
Shop smarter...save some money and headaches.

You do realize you're posting this in a thread devoted to a contest for a limited edition figure that is going to only be available through this promotion, right? I tend to agree with you for the standard figures, but this one is different. You'll (probably) never be a able to walk into a store and buy it.

So I've been trying the 800 number repeatedly for the past 4 days from various phones and had no luck. I found 2 Stump Smash bags of chips tonight at my Albertsons in Aloha, Oregon and won with both codes! Yee-Haw!

This is actually an interesting idea for those unable to win. I'd be very interested to see if anyone tries this out! I'm thinking it could have really cool results if done proprerly. I'm envisioning a more "mossy" look than the actual Flocked Stumpy has. Say, instead of completely coating it, doing some patches on one side of a regular stump smash figure giving it the appeearance of a moss covered tree rather than a "fuzzy tree". If any one tries it out please post pics!

Best guess would be that's why most of the bagged codes are hitting...make sure they have enough to cover those. On the flip side, they probably have so many single randoms to get rid of due to the over-production now that demand for wave 1, 2, and possibly 3 has subsided, they could just be throwing them out to whomever calls and not caring. "Let's just get rid of all these excess Boomers, Hexes, and Stealth Elves".

Wonder how many of those will find a home at the winners' local Gamestop now that they take them in trade? But not me...with 6 kids and 3 grandkids, I'm sure every last one we win will have a home.

I can totally see them sending out all their old stock for the random Skylander promotion. Honestly, that makes the most sense of all the options I've been contemplating. 2 birds with one stone and what-not. Also, I can see GS getting FLOODED with Skylanders singles in...you guessed it, 6-8 weeks. I'm hoping for the best and expecting the let-down from Activision. Eventually we're trying for 3 sets here. 1 for my wife and 1 one for my son, who lives primarily with his mom (he and his brother both play), and 1 for my step-son so doubles probably won't be an issue here either. I agree that an LE prize would be sweet, though I truly doubt it'll happen. There's just no "plus side" to it for activision in the $ department. Ah, but we can dream, right? I am waiting for the rude awakening that would come if they disqualified everyone that keeps winning perpetually. I don't think they will, but ... I guess they could. That right there is why I took a screen shot of the rules and kept it just in case someone tries to weasel out of it.

Taken straight from the official rules:

I.e., as long as you wait until the next game day, it doesn't matter how often you play. AND there's nothing I've found in the rules about how many times you can win. But yeah, the rules seem fuzzier than a year-old yeast roll.

Yep, those would be the "WalMart" bags. The enter to win skylander characters cards (Random, or Stump Smash) are business sized cards, with a code printed on the back.

That really stinks. I hope Customer Service is able to get you sorted out nice and easy when you call.

You people realize that your zip code identifies your city and state, right??? There are instructions on each line as to what they want filled in on it. I can't remember exactly what it asks for, but i think it said apt #...and/or something else. There just is no city or state. Perhaps their software that they'll be using to print our shipping labels only requires the zip code??? I wouldn't worry. The post office is def able to deliver a package that has a correct zip code on it...I dunno about the "other guys" though!!

And I hope this isn't too much off topic for some people in the forums, but I did a little math:
The contest is running from April 2nd to May 5th. That's about 33 full 24 hour days. (April 2nd started the contest at 12pm and it ends May 5th at 12pm). The contest rules states that they are giving away 11,750 single figures in this time. That's about 356 figures a day. Or, 15 an hour. Even better, 1 about every 4 minutes. According to the law, these figures MUST be given away as prizes if they are going to advertise it. So, I'm thinking, with that many figures alotted, they don't give a rat's happy but WHO wins or how often, as long as they get rid of them.

And one more thought before I go...
What if these 11,750 figures are all ones that would be shipped off to an outlet mall? Like the mistakes that were not 100% up to quality control? Someone mentioned a Camo with an extra leg in the pack on another forum...maybe that three legged one is floating around out there. Or a mis-flocked Stump Smash that only has fuzz on his butt. A fool's gold Flameslinger...Dino-Rang with boomerang fish...Now THAT, I would love to see on my shelf.

Went to a Wal-Mart today and found no Stump Smash bags but plenty of the free webcode one.
