That's what mine looked like when I purchased it from Walmart. I hate to say it, but you can't really consider it a "defect." It's just the production line not gluing in the part the right way. My Whirlwind hadn't had her wing glued in all the way, so it had fallen out in the packaging and was completely clean and whole. Gorilla glue fixed her up nicely. Definitely can't consider it a defect. A defect would be half of her wing missing or something silly like that.

Well until the company officially announces that there are collectible defects out there we really don't know! Sounds interesting that this happened to six different figures so if it was an accident it would have happened to a lot of the same one! The guy at Gamestop told me to keep it and not open it!

Madel I gotto to think a defect is a defect no matter what. It doesnt matter how the company scres up on there product. There are ways to tell if it is a official defect. You should not have opened ur Whirlwind imo. Plus I think a lot of people that have the other ones are trying to get mine for nothing too. It's not going to happen. Money talks

It's more of a what's it worth to another person.

Really, a Skylander is worth average retail; $9.99. Yet people are paying over $200 for one that's painted a different color? You can't explain that!

Personally, I find defects to be collectable to myself, but only if I found them myself. For instance, back in the original Ben 10 figures, they had a semi-clear Wildvine (it was supposed to be like that) that was brown. Apparently, the coloring used for another semi-transparent figure (Vilgax) was used in the first run of the Wildvine figs. I'm sure they're probably not worth any more than the regular green one was, but it didn't stop me from buying 2 of them.

Above. I think it's safe to say that these defects we are seeing in the figures aren't exactly on purpose. I think when they moved their operation for production of the figures, that quality control went down or was sacrificed to produce quantities to meet the demand. When a factory has to meet quotas, then mishaps will occur. People will not properly install an arm on a figure. Or the paint will be missed on one here and there. It's not an intentional thing. Now, in the past with toys, when there was a defect by the manufacturer, and a small run of them came out a certain way. Those would be considered desirable as they all had the same defect in a small print run. It was caught and then corrected. Random defects like a leg missing, or a wing fallen off, or in your case a stump arm off. It could get more than face value for it, but it is up to a collector to decide if it's worth it or not. Put it up and see what people bid on it...that's about all you can do. Maybe someone out there is collecting every screw up and all.

Thank u all for ur comments on my one armed Stump Smash. I decided whether than to wait for company response I relisted it with a opening bid. This way we will let the market decide. Im going to try and find out as well.

I got Zook 2 days ago and finally got to playing with him.
Man, I love his defense. I got through Lair of Kaos without dying once because of that.

Zook really is awesome. I was a little iffy with him at first, but he's definitely worth the hunt.

Just as a head's up, I've actually been seeing a lot more Wave 2 and 3 stuff on the shelves. I checked my Best Buy today and they had the Voodood, Prismbreak, other guy Triple Pack. I was surprised, considering I haven't seen one of those in a physical store in forever now.

I can't believe it: yesterday I was at the Gamestop and I saw there were only four Skylanders. I thought: "like all days", but then I looked better on them and I saw Zap, Dino-Rang, Bash and....Legendary Trigger Happy! I was so shocked and happy that I immediately bought him.

If this isn't luck...

I agree. He's pretty weak at first, but after a few upgrades he is amazing. c:

Just bought some random Skylanders at Best Buy to get the Volcanic Vault and I bought a used Spyro figure from Gamestop's return items program.

I showed the worker at Best Buy my recipt from yesterday that I am chummy with and I ended up with three Volcanic Vaults. Then I went to another Best Buy and got one more. I got two of the promotional slips also! I scored Big! I didnt even have to buy any Skylanders because I showed them the recipt yesterday that I used to Buy my Doubles. Now I can get my $60.00 back later this week from my doubles and keep the four Volcanic Vaults! I know how to make connections

Not true. Since the wave 4 realese He has been re released as a single pack and is goin to be in a triple pack with Camo and warnado later in wave 5. Try TRU thats where i got mine and my cousins.

I would do anything for a Camo or Warnado. If anybody is fortunate enough to get 2 I would be willing to pay straight up or trade one of my 2 extra skylanders.(Boomer and Zook)

Update on Blue Bash TRU exclusive figure. I been keeping track and doing analysis. There are only 58/4200 left on ebay. They are at a solid $20.00-Higher value right now. Once these numbers get down to about 20 on ebay you will see Blue Bash jump in price even more imo.

I managed to get myself a "Volcanic Vault" today. Not much else since the only ones I lack now are "camo" "Warnado" and "Wham Shell"
Haven't found those yet :/

I hope nobody actually sells there Skylanders to Gamestop for $2.00-$4.00 a figure. It's going to totally just make gamestop sell them for 10.00 or more a used figure and drive down the value on them all together. I am really against that Activision let Gamestop get there filthy hands on these.

I know duplicates are about as exciting as mud but, I managed to get a second Whirlwind, Eruptor, and Sonic Boom at Best Buy and thankfully got a Volcanic Vault along with them, we arrived RIGHT at closeing time yesterday and I was worried this little event would have ended then. xD That and I'm glad they were well stocked with both, it would have been super annoying to see no Skylanders and plenty of VV's, or vis versa. Then I went over to Target to see their stock (and hope the slight chance that Dragon's Peak really Was there) and picked up a Zap/Hex/Dino-Rang pack instead. I kept buying the ones with the worst paint jobs, so I could tell them apart from my others. x'D

TL,DR: more skylanders yay!
