You're welcome, and I'm sorry you good guys get lost in the mix like that. I know that dealing with this craze must be terrible right now.

I didn't realize that most of the time it was customers getting nasty with everyone, although I should have. It must really suck. smilie Good employees end up having to deal with Activision's short-comings. I work in customer service, so I understand how that can get. I hope things get easier and better with Giants, but I'm really wondering if that's possible.

It's because of stupid stuff like this that I keep TRU's corporate number in my phone. After the chaos and stupidity that was 3/21, I've made sure to have corporate's number handy. I advise other people who go to TRU to do the same.

I understand that TRU employees are probably sick and tired of hearing about Skylanders this and Skylanders that, but that's tough stuff. As employees they should be able to do their jobs. I got bowled over myself when I called asking about Blue Bash the day before the event. I called back later that night and, quite thankfully, ended up on the phone with a helpful employee who was more than willing to ensure that I got a Blue Bash.

In the end, the employees at retail locations are becoming more and more clueless about Skylanders and, unforunately, more and more willing to blantantly lie about products to their customers. It's time to tell them to shut up and take the issue over their heads. We're all getting screwed over by Activision left and right (I mean, c'mon, three weeks in a row of new product being released and Camo, Warnado, and Wham Shell coming out of nowhere?), there's no reason for us to be taken advantage of by TRU as well.

There's also the complete other end of the spectrum. I've been to a couple stores where the employees know entirely too much about Skylanders. Like exactly how much those crystal, silver and gold guys go for online...

As for them sick hearing about Skylanders. Part of the job. If people did buy stuff from tru they wouldn't have a job as simple as that. You gotta be respectful but that respect should go both ways. I work at Gamestop, If I ever complained that I'm sick about "hearing about video games" I should probably find a new job.

Sadly Gamestop does hire a lot of people who are completely clueless about video games...

That happened to me with Zook! I found Lightening Rod but then didnt find Zook for two weeks. I know the pain Vendetta! U wont find Camo for two weeks. Unfortunatly they go by two week spans. BTW the reason people are finding Warnado over Camo is because Warnado isnt that good in gameplay imo.

I work at TRU so getting Camo shouldn't be too hard, just my store hasn't gotten the new wave yet. The only one I see giving some problems is Wham Shell for now.

Im starting to buy the old figures as well. Im not really buying them for doubles per say, but for essencesmilie This is the perfect time when everybody is overlooking them. I bought Chop Chop at Best Buy yesterday as it was the last one in the store. I figured he may start getting Rare again soon. I am saving the recipt in case these don't spike. I need to pay for my expensive set. I do have one set of 32/32 COMPLETE!

Picked up a Camo and Warnado in Lynnwood, WA at Gamestop on 164th. They only had one set. The downside? I got rear ended by some lady in an SUV on my way home...not how I wanted to truly start my weekend. Silver linings...blah.

Opal, you didn't miss anything. I was at Lynnwood this afternoon. They had nothing. Everett was empty too. We saw what TRU had. Best Buy had the same stuff as last time. All gamestops in our area I checked. I got the last 2 on 164th street. They only got 2 in. I got lucky. But I think Everett is due next week for shipments. I have you on my pick up list, don't worry. If I get them, I'll send you a PM and I can meet up and swap face value for em. smilie What a great Friday the 13th. First accident in my entire life...bizarre.

From my personal experience I've found Camo and Warnado at Walmart, but they were the last ones I've seen, I haven't heard about them being at Gamestops or Targets in my area though..I'm over in Colorado. They might be in a local Gamestop/Walmart where you're at however. I'd just call around if I were you, definetly call any local Walmarts, since they seem to be the ones that have them the most. xD

Going to Tesco in Durrington today to get me new phone, gonna check for Skylanders while there though. My friend got very lucky there before, finding the smilie/smilie/smilie Triple Pack in the tens-of-hundreds! (Not litterally, but they had quite a lot) And he also found EoI X7 he told me.

zebas. I suggest when you call walmart that you ask them if they can check the stock of skylanders to find out how many they have in, in transit and on order. If they tell you no, then ask to be connected to a manager. If they hang up. Call back and ask to speak to a manager. No employee should ever hang up on a customer unless the customer is being violent or vulgar. If they still treat you poorly, you contact walmart corporate offices and file a complaint on the store. If they do not know how to look up inventory. Tell them that if they scan a figure it will show how many they have in store, and on order or in transit. If they hit the button below the yellow one (they'll know what you're talking about) it will give a actual list of what is there and or what is coming. If they refuse to do this, then I'm sorry your walmart salesperson is a failure at his job. This is all basic stuff they should already know. Good luck.

I got a Factory Sealed Defective Stump Smash at my Bloomfield Best Buy this morning. I bought six different doubles according to how low the store was in stock. I will post pictures soon of the Factory Sealed Defective Stump Smash. I am curious to see if he only has one arm during gameplay! Unfortunatly he has both arms during gameplay. I was hoping that he would only have one arm in the gameplay, but he has both. His left arm came off and is loose in the package.

I dunno, is there really any value to plain broken Skylanders in packaging? It's not the same as a standard variation or a weird factory paint job or it being posed differently during assembly, they're just broken...

Seems to me that they are RARE. According to all the different characters that people are talking about that the defect happened to. If it happened to alot of the same characters than it would mean that it was an accident. IMO there are 32 Defective characters out there somewhere...

@AboveSkylands: I dunno, I try to make sure I don't end up with broken figures actually. So far, I've been pretty lucky and even the ones I've received via Toys R Us online haven't been broken despite lousy shipping. When I find figures in stores I try to squeeze them a bit to make sure they're not broken in package, you can do so without damaging the outer packaging too since there's quite a bit of give to them. I'd think it'd actually be quite easy to accidentally break some Skylanders. I mean, value is in the eye of the beholder I guess, but in regards to your Stump Smash, it's not like his limb is missing, it's just broken inside the packaging...I could probably do that if I saw him in a store and I know I can with Whirlwind and Drill Sergeant. Since it's broken now, I bet if you shake it around hard enough, you might be able to use the loose limb to break off the other limb too though I think you'd be better off returning him or contacting Activision for a replacement to be honest.

Just seems odd to me that theres been different characters that this happend to. First of all if this was an accident more Stump Smashes in the store would have been broken. I basically bought it cause it looked out of place. Will let ebay decidesmilie

@AboveSkylands: In all seriousness, it'd be stupid for Activision/Toys For Bob to purposefully ship out broken Skylanders in each flavor. What would that accomplish besides tarnishing their brand?

Your Stump Smash is not rare, it's broken, it's not like it's missing limbs altogether or differently painted, the arm is sitting right there, in the package.

I even went on eBay to look for some examples to show you, but lo and behold, I've found your eBay listing and I can finally see why you're trying to defend your point now...

...and $510 for a Skylander that isn't even worth $7.99 MSRP to most people...yea, good luck with that. For the record though, I hope some sucker out there does buy that from you.

Well if u dont think thats worth that what do u think it is worth? I see one on there for $24.99 and no one is bidding on that? How do u tell if something is rare or not? Seems odd to me that there were Defective ones sent out on different ones. If people dont want to buy defective ones for there collection than they dont have to!
