This thread should simply be closed, the topic is smashed shipments of Skylanders from gamestop not your personal vendettas. There is little to no info in here about the thread topic anymore. Yinz want to fight it out go do it via pm. I, for one, am tired of reading page after page after page of "I hate scalpers", "I hate hoarders", "My kid should've gotten those figures instead of you" in nearly every thread. The available useful information on these Skylanders threads has been getting less and less as more and more threads are being keelhauled into some flame war over TOYS!!!!!! A good rule of thumb... If you have nothing nice to say ... cork it! ... and go to another thread. Sheeeeesh!

Like GameMaster, I'm in my 30s. It comes as no surprise people behave like children or animals online, regardless of age. Everyone's been guilty at one point or another. This site isn't the exception; EVERY site has trolls and we could all use some growing up from time to time.

That said, I think the real story is how Activision managed to drive grown men nuts over a series of toys and games (myself included)!

To the OP...you don't have to justify yourself. I didn't want to get stuck with a ton of Camos and Warnados, so I ordered 2 of each. One for my kids and one for my collection. Looking back, I would have ordered the MAX because these are selling like hot cakes on eBay. I should have bought 10 of each. Needless to say, I sold my second set for a pretty penny. Congrats and enjoy Camo and Warnado, 2 of the coolest Skylanders in the game.

And a correction to everyone. Skylanders are not toys, they are game pieces. It's like calling chess piece toys.

Nice job trying to justify your collection while proving your own inability to reset and re-level a character in 45 minutes or less, in a game that is so absurdly easy it's aimed at younger kids.

It doesn't get old bashing people Moonlit. I wasn't trying to bash you, but you just have to realize that the picture you posted was going to invoke rage among the people here trying to find and complete their collections.

I was unsure of if you were being serious with the way mine might have been damaged or not. But I. Glad you got your triple pack in mint condition, my triple pack from amazon was bent like these.

I drive to WalMart, Target, BestBuy Gamestop and sometimes Toys R Us every day now. Hahaha. Fortunately, Walmart, Target and BestBuy are on my way to work AND in the same shopping center. In and out in less then 10 minutes and I'm off to work. Then when I get to work, I do my rounds of the internet sites that sells Skylanders. Yeah...I'm nuts.

Honestly, if you really want a pack in mint condition, you need to buy it in person. You can't trust anything to arrive in perfect condition if it gets shipped.

I personally could care less if they are pristine. We open our set for play! I just appreciate you trying to give folks a heads up. If I were a "serious collector" I'd be ticked off to get a "brand new" item that the packaging looked like it had been stepped on! I know that having the expendable income I'd have five of each (1 set for each path for me & my wife, 1 set MIB, 1 set for each of my 2 boys), but we don't have the extra $, so we all share one set and make do. It's a shame that the maturity level around here is so shallow sometimes. There are some great people around if you can dig through the few not so nice to find 'em. Anyways, thanks.

Maybe it was due to how many they had to squeeze in the box. They all came in the same box, right? Then they added airbags and such. I think that's why people getting less, had better condition boxes.

Still, glad to see people getting their Camo/Warnado fixes.

^ There 4 on the bottom with the flat part of the box down, then 4 more in the spaces with the flat part of the box up, then the last 2 were on the top and those two were the worst. Then they placed the air bags on top.

I can see, a person buying TWO of a figure, one to open and one sealed, due to being a collector, you'd want some figures kept in package for their value alone.

yes you can compare it to people that collect videos games i no plenty of video game collectors including myself that most of there thousands of video games are still in the wrapping and i can only speak for myself i know 80% of my video games that are still in the wrapping i will probably never play i only bought them to have them where those game sales easily could have gone to people that would actually play them.

Anyway, I didn't think Gamestop would have poor shipping for some reason. I know TRU had issues, which is why I'm glad my mom never got to order Dragon's Peak from them. But Gamestop? I guess its a good thing I prefer to actually go to the store and buy my skylanders.

^ I would have gotten them in store but I didn't want to take the chance. So the boxes weren't as perfect as I wanted them it wasn't a big deal and I enjoyed playing with the other ones

GM hasn't helped me out at all, with getting figures (has posted awesome Skylanders hunting and storage info though), but that's beside the point, since I never asked him to help me in my quest for Skylanders. I will however defend his, and others' right to buy whatever they want with their own money. Move on mate.

I'm not sure Gamestop was really prepared to go into the collectable figure industry. They are mainly used to shipping game systems and games. I've never heard of anyone having trouble with their shipping system prior to Skylanders. It seems like they were woefully unprepared to handle these. Though the same could be said for Activisions distribution system.

If they are going to let someone order that many they should have been prepared to ship that many. There is also the possibility that this instance is only a fluke...or UPS' fault for faulty handling. I never thought to ask before... was the outer box that they were all in damaged, or just the individual packages?

thats not hoarding you really should look up the definition of hoarder, also so what i defended him before he helped me out but to jump back on topic congrats on getting warnado and camo, warnado is easily my favorite wind skylander camo is awesome but compared to zook and stealth elf he lacks something that i just cant put my finger on.

I have wanted Camo since I bought the game before X-mas. So having him now is wonderful

dont get me wrong camo is awesome he just happened to fall into an element that has 2 uber skylanders in the form of pook blade stealth elf and floral defender zook.

Well that brings me back to my first post in the thread. It was probably at least partially UPS' fault for substandard handling. You may want to shoot gamestop an email, more to let them know it happened than to get compensation (since in the end you seem content with what arrived). If they know UPS is handling their products improperly, and annoying their customers by doing, so they may be able to address it from their end.
