What do you think will be after giants i think there will be skylanders mini

...Somehow I doubt it.

If there is going to be a future Skylanders game, which at this point I think is pretty certain even if Giants doesn't sell well, then it'll introduce new elements and that'll be it's selling point. I mean, think about it:

With the first game, you have the incentive to buy one of each element.

With Giants, you have the incentive to buy some Giants (that is assuming that they'll be some benefit in buying more Giants than the one that comes with the game)

With a third game - what could they do? Other than adding new elements I couldn't really see them doing much. Two types (normal and Giants) are enough in my opinion. So, new elements are what I could see. Not necessarily 8 new elements, maybe 4 new elements and 4 new Skylanders per element and possibly one more Giant per element.

I can certainly see the possibility of more games even if Giants doesnt have the same success as the original. I dont forsee anything like minis though as the age range of the game is still aimed for younger fans. Making the figures smaller would turn them into choking hazards, more breakable, or prone to getting lost.

I think a third game might go into the larger PvP scale that a lot of people are clamoring for. At that point we'll have around 40 basic Skylanders and the 8 Giants. More than enough to set up some sort of Battle-Arena themed game itself making use of the figures on the portal for fighting online, or a Super Smash Bros like concept.

Or they could just expand on the myths and add 8 new characters (one per element). I can't see them adding anything more than two elements per installation.

All I know is that the next game better not be coming or in 2013!

I don't think you can add 2 elements to an element circle, it just doesn't work. All i can say is it better be 2014/15. I could see mini's working but not really commercially.

Think they will just go for more detailed Skylanders lights and stuff like that....maybe the figures will even talk???

Yeah, Activision is totally going to let that happen.

Activision might take a break from the Hack & Slash/Platformer angle for a year with the series, but there is no way that they will not put out some kind of Skylanders product at least once a year now. The IP is far to vaulable to let it cool down at this point. Just like Call of Duty has started to swap between Historical and Modern warfare it still managed to produce some kind of recycled tripe on a yearly basis. So again we might not get the style of the current game or Giants but we'll likely get some form of game that makes use of figures both old and new.

If they do skylanders 3, I think one think they could do to make things interesting, is make a competition to design a skylander, with all the moves and everything. And there are eight winners, one of each element, and the winners get the new game, with the starter pack figures, and the figure they designed.

Wow, there's already a talk about a sequel of a sequel that isn't out yet

Its really more discussion of further developments of the Skylanders franchise as a whole for me rather than just the next sequel. As for a contest on designing a new Skylander, while it might be interesting, I certainly think a prize of something more than just the new game and a few figures would be in order. It'd be less than $1000 dollars for all eight winners combined in prizes with what you suggested. They really need something more akin to a trip out of the main Activision office, or the unvealing in New York's Toy Fair, their Skylander made into one of the big pieces like the ones at the Toy Fair that they can keep, a full set of all the Skylanders released and other stuff. Sure the winners in a Creat-A-Skylanders contest would be kids but comon', lets not be completely cheap.

so going online ain't a selling point anymore???.. just more of this plastic junk with chip inside???... don't you kids get tired of it or parents tired of buying all this??.... you got 2 games out already with over 100 toys and then skylanders3 are going to bring another 50++.... and just more of the same... nothing really new.

i dont even expecting this would come....
Anyway they should focus on "Expanding" the game more adventure packs and adding more skylanders until a total of 100+

If not the third game, there will definitely be spin-offs.

Giants was made to explore the lore of the Giants, who were the first Skylanders around.

However, there will be a HUGE plothole, if they don't harness the powers of light and darkness.

I don't think a third game needs new elements or giants. It just needs to be good. Improve on whatever Giants doesn't improve on.

If there's to be a Skylanders 3 (and we all know there will be), then I can only hope they'd actually take their time developing it.

P.S. Spyro's Universe doesn't count as a proper online feature for the actual game.

I think you have an over imagination little girl and if you imagination was real than I think you would not kill kaos because the skylanders on earth that you mentioned will get straight to it with out obsticles, either that or deepending if the hydra were bullet proof the police and the speacil force.

I dont think they would add new elements. Because then you would need a new portal. the original portal wouldn't recognize any new elements

It's not the portal that reads the elements - it's the game itself

Otherwise you wouldn't be able to use the original one with the giants

yeah that sounds like the most likely of or but I doubt that would be just it. There is bound to be something else to that if anything.

Skylanders: Small Giants (whats up with this we are talking about the 3rd game and the 2nd hasnt even been released yet!)

Technicaly speaking small Giants is an oximoron so it wouldn't make sense of it being a title.

the skylander spyro is made/designed by an asian. so skylander spyro is an chinese/japanese dragon, that is why the new spyro looks like he does... so now you know.
