Do they usually announce each new wave via ad? Or just their Legendary and Blue Bash guys?

We advertise spacifically for our exclusive stuff (legendaries, blue bash and dragons peak since it is a limited exclusive) as for our normal figures we are pretty genaral about it like when l rod and zook were released our signs just said to look for singles on the 21st we didnt say which ones because it was just an event for skylanders in general. To my knowledge we have no sale or special event tomorrow. If they didnt come in on the truck then they arent on the shelves. Ask your local tru managers when their truck days are because that is your best bet of finding new ones there.

I don't think they've ever announced new Skylander figures in an ad. Could be wrong though, I did come late into the game.

Nope i checked friday on our truck day. I am hopeful for next friday, it sucks only having one truck day

With shelves full of LTH, Drill Sergeants, Eruptors, Sonic booms, Whirlwinds, etc.. I doubt it they'll be stocking anything new.

I think supply is finally catching up with demand or demand is starting to drop as I see more and more shelves with unwanted Skylanders. Poor Drill Sergeant, Eruptor and Chop Chop!

What?! They only give you one truck day?!

The one out here they get deliveries about 3 days out of the week. And since March they've all had skylanders! That sucks you have to wait a week!

Well see i work at babies r us with toys r us next door but i am in the loop with all the sales and shipments bru gets 2 trucks but for some reason tru only gets one which does suck since skylanders isnt the only thing i collect. But i will let you guys know when my tru gets wave 5 in as soon as i know

Thats actually bad. Standard store proceedore is to keep stock in back until shelf space opens up...

I know some guys like Gamemaster is cool with every retail store around him, but I don't actually really know anyone that works at any retail chain, other than myself at Gamestop and a friend of my brothers at walmart, and he builds bikes there...

Which means I don't have access to the employee only areas to rip through those boxes in the back. Nor do I want to be a douche and badger some poor employee to let me.

Thats why you have to become a regular at some places lol i know the people at target tell me right when i walk in if they got something new that i would b looking for

Im a regular at Toys R Us. Heck I work right next door to it.

However:

1. Its stocked full of college kids who are not actually into anything they sell there. Or the 3 old grumpy people who refuse to retire and accept their social security checks (I pay for those things ever month! Use them! Oh and stop driving!). The turnover rate for college kids is so high Their name tags are piled thick with white out. The one girl who is into collectible is into it only for herself. I've seen her going through boxes on stock days (they are always done before noon) and taking out any gold or silver guys. Also for blue bash even she had 3 of 6 the store got. As she stood the register and smiled her fat smile. But I digress. /rant

2. I'm 30 years old and I look like a Scalper. You wouldn't guess I'm into Skylanders or anything like that. But I have a lot of closet hobbies (Legos!). Most of them watch me with disdain or contempt as I scope out the store on my breaks, as they assume I'm looking to buy up all the rare guys to sell on craigslist. Yet they don't mind their own employee Chubbie McSmile doing so...

True and we should be seeing the full effect of this really soon. I know Activision was trying their best to satisfy the Skylanders craze but with the type of distribution that they have, they are pretty much preventing quicker selling merchandise from hitting the floor. Target does not have a large Skylanders display and like walmart, they usually don't bring more merchandise out until the ones on the shelve are gone. With more unwanted figures, you could be seeing tons of Drill Sergeants, whirlwinds, chop chops, and drobots gathering dust on the shelves and they are starting to pile up. This really makes it harder (for collectors) to get the newer figures but the new figures will show up, eventually.

You should report her. Employees are sujected to the same rules as customers and as i understand it there was a one per customer limit on blue bash. Also employees arent supposed to be buying thing when they are on the clock. It is only acceptable while on break or lunch. And ya i am big into halo so i collect all the mega bloks and which ever figures look cool lol

My Gamestop is seeing the effect of this. We rarely get shipments in because we have "plenty" in stock. By Plenty I mean like 10 Drobots, 10 Stump Smashes 10 Chop Chops etc sitting on our shelves. So corporate gets the order into the warehouse. Checks how many each store has (I don't think they check which ones) and we get skipped out to the 50 plus commons we have in stock.

This really sucks for TRU. TRU has been the biggest seller of Skylanders in this whole game and everyone else is getting Wave 5 before them. I mean damn, Walmart is getting large shipments of Wave 5 and TRU gets nothing. That's crappy for them.

Not that it matter though...they're going to still bank on Wave 5 when they do come in. The only thing I can't believe (and I think it's HORRIBLE on Activisions end) is that TRU increases their prices and Activision STILL makes exclusive deals with them! Activision doesn't make anything more by TRU selling their Skylanders at a higher cost...and yet they get exclusive with them....

Watch, TRU will Release Camo, Warnado, whamshell and the new three pack this month while people are stil looking for camo and warnado, they'll make a huge deal like DP and lines will be long. Then, like Wednesday they will have 1 per person, one single and one triple.
