I thought they were supposed to be shipping them in boxes? I'd definitely call and complain about it.

hmv in the uk wrap singles in a cardboard package. problem being the inside of the package is smaller than a skylander pack so they just squash them in!

I think different people get different things. My skylanders from TRU came in a box.

Padded envelope here. I'm rather annoyed to have the top crushed in slightly as well since I never intended to open it, but oh well.

Mine came in today, also in a padded envelope. How it managed to stay in mint condition is beyond me, but I'm thankful.

I remember when I ordered Dragon's Peak from TRU, it was in a box, but I'm assuming that's because of it's size. It sucks they use padded envelopes. smilie Walmart does the same thing from what I've seen. My free Skylander figure for the EOI cancellations was mailed to me in a padded envelope.

my guess is they dont care about the box itself cause they expect us to open them and use them.

I just received mine yesterday also in a padded envelope, wasn't in to bad of shape couple of dents I was able to pop out. Even if it does come in a box it all depends on how they are handled from person to person until it arrives to its destination. At my work I usually receive over 100 boxes a day from various different shippers and you would be amazed to see the horrible conditions some of these boxes show up in you can tell they were handled by people that just didn't give a damn.

This is how my EoI arrived from Jersey (the island UK dependancy, not the place in the US) based company Play.com:

Wha... That's a serious picture? What a horrendous packaging job! They could've at least used a decent box!

Yes, that's seriously how my EoI arrived, I intend to complain but I haven't had a chance yet... it's not the worst state something has arrived from Play.com... my husband's Christmas present was a blu-ray box set of Star Wars and that looked like someone had swam it from Jersey... Fortunately Royal Mail (the UK postal service) admitted fault and offered a replacement...

wow something like that I would definitely complain about, also if your ever there at the time of delivery always ask to have the package marked as damaged to cover yourself.

I wasn't there when it was delivered but the white tape on it with the red writing says that the postal service is aware that the box was damaged in transit and that was their attempt at resealing it. So I do have an acknowledgement of damage though they don't admit fault on this item.

I think it's sad when you buy they skylanders on TRU, where they are the most expensive, then BAM $5 for the worst packaging ever. I mean in TRU is going to do that shipping coasts must be cheaper. But I'm sure they get a lot of complaints about it anyways.

They've been hit or miss for a while, unfortunately. I've seen reports of people that ordered toys from them that arrived so poorly packaged that they were completely crushed and the toy - still in its factory packaging - was broken apart.
