1st time poster here but I wanted to pass along some info I found out today since this forum has helped me immensely. Talked to my local TRU (Manassas, Va) and the manager said he is expecting 3 new characters on Sunday. Going by last Sunday's Blue Bash sale and the fact the TRU has a sale on their Skylanders (probably to lower inventory), it may be wise to check out your local store Sunday morning.

Awesome. Going to get up early to scope it out. An employee at my store said "new shipment" but couldn't tell if it was new stuff! Thanks for the tip!

That's my problem I have plenty to do already! Thank god TRU is within walking distance though.

Thnk for this info and welcome. TRU is being very clever now. I have a Easter party to attend to so I will probably sneak into TRU before with my dad or probably after, hoping they have some. They probably wil seeing how its Easter and people will be at church or a party.

Maybe they will make an announcement in their add tomorrow.

Also anybody know if they still do Easter eggs hunts at their stores? They did when I was kid. If they do now I'm ruined...

UGHH! This may be the first time I'll be going extra early to my closest TRU.

Oh, I work my 40 hour work week...and I do have life projects to do...lawn stuff and personal projects...but I work my schedule right now around Skylanders..sad, right? Time to design out my skylanders display I guess...gotta build a dog run/kennel for the dog too this weekend...rough life I lead...lol.

I'll post my findings here tomorrow when I get back. I think they open at 10am on Sundays (don't know if they have Easter Hours). I'm in the central Time zone (chicago).

To people who have been there early, how early should I get there and should I call the store first?

I thought it was odd being Easter too. But I heard rumblings from people in line for Sunburn that the Camo/Warnado release was going to be on Easter. I'm hoping since the manager said 3 new characters there's a chance that Wham-Shell will be there too. Happy Hunting everyone!

I highly doubt this is true.

GM posted earlier that his TRU had nothing in the memos regarding Wave 5 figures. If Wham Shell were to be available on Sunday, I think GM would go insane lol.

I would guess Ignitor as the 3rd new character sadly. Even though he isn't new this is his first time outside of the 3DS game.

Correct.

While the sale could be true, the fact the last three characters might be there, could be wrong.

The reason I say this, is because when I talked to my local TRU, they said nothing's in the memo. No one on CAG has broken news about it, due to seeing a new TRU circular early. Another TRU I frequently call, was asked by me about Wham Shell. They never mentioned new characters for Sunday. That lends credit to the first TRU telling me there was nothing in their memos.

Another reason I believe the new characters won't be there, is because I saw them open two of the tons of boxes they had in their store room. Each had old characters. None even had wave 3 or 4 characters.

THIS IS NOT TRUE! TRU would have sent an email out to its rewards members. Enjoy your easter weekend and continue the hunt monday. The 3 new figures will not be at toys r us sunday.

I am sure someone will tell us what is happening at TRU on Sunday when it happens from the East Coast. Gonna doubt it will be anything special. My stores said they have no events scheduled and they also got old waves in that didn't even include wave 4 figures in it...

I am on the east coast and talked to my TRU tonight in TN. They said they have no more shipments coming in until next thursday. They also confirmed they have no new figures in stock in the back. This is johnson city, tn tho. Im not wasting my time to be disappointed again. 100% confirmed its not hapening. At least not where i live.

For wave 4 lrod, zook, dragons peak, there were people lined up since before 7 and stores opened at 10. For the blue bash since 9, so I guess it varies maybe due to weekday versus weekend or the want of the item. Easter day is tricky, I wouldn't do less than an hour just in case. Also Im in Florida so more people, better luck in a small town.

My TRU is closed on Easter Sunday???

I was at my local AZ TRU tonight and they said no new figures on Sunday. Drone even checked with management to verify. I guess I will wait for advert tomorrow night to see. I would love to see whammy come out. Got Camo & Warnado en-route from gs.com already so just one more left!

The TRU's around here are open on Easter Sunday. Special hours I think. open a little later (like 10AM) and closed earlier (like 5 or 6pm) I think.

I was 3rd in line at the Dragon's peak event. If you were in a arm cast then yes I heard it from you. Unfortunatley, I'm out of town for Easter so I'm gonna have to try my luck at the Allentown, PA TRU.

I remember hearing this rumor, but considering how GameStop and Walmarts are starting to carry a couple Warnados and Camos here and there, I'm leaning more to the rumor side for this TRU Easter event.

In all honesty, I'm not going. I've been at TRU's "events" for the past three weeks. I don't plan on spending another weekend in line for a couple of hours. I need to spend time with my family and I draw the line with holidays.

All this talk of it being false has really squashed the adrenaline.

In saying that, I've garnered a resentment towards Camo.

Forget Easter, I'm on Spring Break and have 10 (now 7 days) to get caught up on things, starting tonight. I might go to TRU for the lulz if it is open; the last time I went, they had, like, a million Cynders, DTs, and D.Sarges. Might get lucky.

I know there were some people at the johnson city tn march 21st event bc they had all the news u can get from this site. If anyone on here was there I was first in line. The omly guy in a suit bc I had to go to work. People were beghing me not to scalp the skylanders lol. Im far from a scalper. March 21st the day consumers got revenge on scalpers lol.

I know how you feel but I met a lot of cool guys in my line.

I'm 30 years old so when they see me outside on phone, 1st they line, they auto assume scalper. Boy were they surprised when I walked out with 1 Blue Bash despite the store not imposing a limit!

Ad is up on theor website and no sale on Skylanders. There's a sign. Also called my local TRU, they got a shipment in yesterday and nothing new just old characters.

Drill...maybe that's just it. When there hasn't been something advertised, I wound up finding new stuff. I don't think they consider these "special" in terms of launching them. So maybe they view it as a restock day and corporate doesn't see it on the radar. With the likelihood of them hitting TRU, Best Buy and Target soon...I can only assume they will hit shelves as soon as tomorrow. I also got to thinking. Toys R Us got the Dragon's Peak exclusive, and they ticked off Walmart by not supplying them enough and leaving their displays empty for a few months. Their way of throwing Walmart a bone was to release the 2 new ones to Walmart first, and then follow up with the rest of the stores. I don't fear getting these in the next 2 weeks. They'll be aplenty. I think for everyone it's the wait time that's painful...and that sense of urgency. If we just let go of it, then we can get on with our lives and discover them in a more relaxed natural, oh hey...it's Camo...cool...I'll grab one sort of way.

Just came from the tru I frequent the most. Asked the manager if there was anything new and she said it was the first she had heard. She took ke to the electronics stock room ad we opened eight boxes together, nothing new. Sorry folks.

Thats the problem. Not only do we see other people with them, it seems to be limited supply. On top of that all the retailers have had the starter pack on sale making more people buy it as of now, which puts higher demand and less of a chance to grab one of the last ones because it was someone's awesome first piece. uhhh lol

Anyhow, nothing to be found today. Calling it quits and waiting for an official release date, hopefuly at TRU so I dont have to deal with disgruntled Walmart employees.
