GameMaster78 and others that may work at retail stores, have you kept track of the sub-assembly numbers at all when they come in? I should do a better job of writing them down, but in general it seems like you should be able to tell exactly what is in a box by looking at the sub-assembly number (I think sub-assembly is the right term). The reason I say this is that when I saw 6 boxes of Skylanders come in last week I noticed that a couple of them had the same sub-assembly number and they had the exact same figures in each box. Can anyone confirm this?
Does anyone happen to have a list of these numbers with the figures that are in the box? It would save having to open up every box to see if they actually have new Skylanders in them. If not, I'll try to get a list started in this thread.

I noticed that all my Legendary figures start have a code like this: L####(letter) for example my L. Trigger Happy has the code: L0129A. My Cynder and other triple pack figures have a very similar code but begin with a "W" instead of an "L". I think that these are called the "factory stamps" so I'm not sure if this pertains to what your looking for. I still have my receipts of my figures from Toys'R'us so if you think that it might be on there, let me know. I'm sorry if I wasn't much help.

What I am actually talking about is the cardboard boxes that the Skylanders are shipped to Wal-Mart, Target, ToysRus, Gamestop, etc, in. I opened up two of these boxes this morning and found the following:
Sub-assembly No: 84196097 2X - Zap, Hex, Dino-rang 2X - Cynder, Lightning Rod, Zook 2X - Prism Break, Boomer, Voodood Sub-assembly No: 84356090 2X - Pirate Seas Adventure Pack 2X - Empire of Ice 2X - Darklight Crypt I'm hoping that by knowing the sub-assembly numbers we can figure out what is in each box without having to actually open it. |

Great Idea would've never thought of that. Its kind of hard for me though since they never open the boxes right in front of me. Except once but that was because I was lucky enough to be there when the shipment came in. |

Here's the deal with the Gamestop ones. They get shipped to our warehouse, where they are then opened (The box not the individual guys lol) and then repacked and shipped out to different stores. Corporate decides which stores get how many and which ones. So the boxes ours come in are not the original one and the sub-assembly number is completely different for us.
Also a hint for everyone looking for Skylanders at Gamestop, they get their shipments in at around 10am. Everyday except Sunday. Everything is usually put out by noon (we put our Skylanders out first though).

This would be a good idea, but Activision is mixing waves like no other now.
I watched Gamestop open a box of 6 singles, and what I saw inside was - - Stump Smash - Eruptor - Bash - Sonic Boom - Wrecking Ball - Whirlwind Never seen that assortment before. I can try and keep an eye out for the assembly number for the Camo/Warnado case, if it will help peeps. I would really like to find the UPC for Wham Shell. For some reason, Walmart.com has UPC numbers for ALL Skylanders except Wham Shell.

^ I saw a similar assortment with Eruptor in it. It appears the assortment you speak of GM is the shipment prior to the one I just saw show up at TRU on Thursday. They literally got 12 boxes with something similar to that, but it had Eruptor instead of wrecking ball. And flameslinger instead of Stump Smash. It really is feeling like they are just randomly packing boxes at this point.

That's because Gamestops shipment has already been picked through and repacked and shipped to us. Via my earlier post.

I opened up some single pack boxes this morning and these sub-assembly numbers do seem to be unique to the assortment inside the box. Here is what I found this morning:
Sub-assembly number: 84140096 Zook Ignitor Drobot Lightning Rod Bash Stealth Elf Sub-assembly number: 84190105 3X Boomer 3X Wrecking Ball I hope they don't ship too many of the 84190105 boxes out. Right now it seems like half of the stock on one of my local stores is Boomer or Wrecking Ball. |

Typical Activision. Fix one problem, create another. I guess they want to fill the shelves with so much old stock, it won't sell, thus we will never see Wham Shell on the shelf.
