I found a couple of boxes of Frito Lay brand potato chips sitting in the backroom yesterday and noticed they contained webcodes for skylanders on the online game. has anyone else seen these yet. I am not sure if there is a valid reason they were not on the salesfloor yet or were being hidden

I'd imagine that theres no logo on the individual bags, just the code is probably on the inside of the larger one they're all in. I wonder if they'll be doing it on the larger bags in stores though.

Those boxes are harbinger to a dark time in Skylanders history. Soon, they will be selling by the case on eBay, to the highest bidder. Any serious collectors who can't afford their outrageous prices will simply deteriorate and die of starvation. Shortly thereafter, Big Tobacco takes interest, and Skylander Lites cigarettes are born.

So have we figured out what the codes are for yet?

I'm guessing it's one of 3 things:

1) A mini-game on Frito-Lays site where you just play for fun. (Although it'd be rad if we could get a coupon for like $3 off a figure or something)
2) a random code for an item on Universe (there's 9 new spaces that have opened up for Skyland Decorations, but nothing has been added yet to buy)
3)a code that will unlock the items to purchase (As in, they ALLOW you to purchase the items, rather than a random code for one single item)

My store got in 20 bags who knows when. They are variety packs and are about $6.88 a piece. They have yet to hit the salefloor but I made sure they are in the store notes to do so tonight. They are already inactive so I can't order more. I bought three bags and am bringing them home tomorrow morning. I will post after I got TRU and let you know what the code does.

Hmm. that's the link. Odd that it has "walmart" in there though, despite there not being any mention of it in the first page of the site. Maybe they only have these bags at Walmart/Sams Club?

The site will let you enter your DOB, but after that I got a "Server Error. In the meantime visit Skylanders Universe!"

The packs are apparently only at Walmart. There looks to be some in each one of the different packs (Classic, Flavor, and a new "Adventure Pack").

Inside is this. It's a little card thing.



Front part is on the left, and has just some text on it. Back part has the code (in the box, whited it out so no stealing! and the coupon for $1 a Skylander. (i'd guess only at Walmart)

The game will not be active until April 4th, and it lasts till 6/9. Pretty rad! You can tear off the card on top with the code. It's all one large thing nestled inside the groupings of bags so it shouldn't get bent up any way.

edit: Hmm. It worked and told me "You've unlocked an EXCLUSIVE" game in Skylanders Universe, and then linked me to the site. However, the picture it displayed was just of Castle assult.

Upon getting in, a arrow appears directing you to the Runes Run in Universe. I guess that's how you unlock it!?

EDIT2: IM RANKED 3RD HNNNNGGGHH It's pretty fun. Deets are on the UNiverse section of the forums.

It's a manufactures coupon meaning they should take it anywhere they sell skylanders. Used one this morning to buy DP at TRU

I'm new here. I wanted to post because I bought a multipack of Frito's chips at Albertson's last night. The 20ct bag was on sale for $5.99 and contained a code card just like the one posted by spyroflame0487 (but no coupon like Walmart). The code was a winner, so they are mailing me a 'flocked' exclusive Stump Smash in the next 8 weeks. The website said they are giving away 7000+ prizes, but did not say if they are all figures...

$5.99 isn't bad for chips. I think I paid about $6 and some change for the one at Walmart.

Problem is what to do with all those chips! I still have some left over!

Tried the code again, said it was already entered. So I guess if I want to try to get one, I'll have to buy some more. ALL THESE CHIPS.

^ I wonder what they mean by "flocked"? It almost sounds like it's going to be a stuffed Stump Smash and not a hard figure. Maybe it could mean that they are going to texture the character somehow? I wouldn't be surprised if they send you a stuffed Skylander instead of a figure, it would definitely be cheaper for them to ship and make it.

I bought mine at Walmart. But I got it like right when they started selling them. It was few days before April so like March 30th or so? Mine of course has the $1 off coupon, but I've never seen them at any other stores besides Walmart. I'll keep an eye out because I'd love to go and get one of these things.
