Oh wow. I actually saw one of these on craigslist today for $200.

That's still a bit much for my blood. For that price I'd rather get something like the metallic cynder or hex or something.

Now if it was the one from the toy conventions it would seem more realistic. You know those huge new guys from skylander giants.

I just texted my GM about this, he said I could have the display just like that at my Bestbuy as long as they don't have to send it back to the vendor.

OMG!Go to your local stores and ask them if you can have it. I going to ask my gamestop they dont use it anymore because its behind the counter now facing the wall.

Why? As far as I can tell, the guy has done nothing to you or anyone else, other than offer up an item he feels is worth a substantial amount of money. Just because you don't agree with his price doesn't mean you are given a free pass to be passive aggressive towards him for your own joy. If you don't agree with the price, and he doesn't agree with your offer, then be mature and move on.

for $3000 i would buy a Macbook Pro with Pro Tools 10 installed with $$ left over for the strip club.

Nope. Those figures lack the special chip. I think it's called the RFID chip...? I can't remember.

Anyways, they're just pieces of plastic with nothing else special about them. I remember a fellow forum member asking to buy a Whirlwind that was in one of those displays and being told that they're just for show and nothing else.

see, i'm not the only one he was rude to...afer i explained to him how much it was really worth he sent a normal reply. said he would consider my offer of 80 and that he just wanted to give it a few days to see wat happens lol he made a counter offer of $2000

I just bought one for 250.00. He originally wanted 500 but was nice enough to drop it when i told him the going rate for them have been 200.
He even is making it free shipping if i can get him voodood and prism break.

One of my friends works for Lego and he goes around changing those plastic displays that you see at Toysrus and Target and what not. He usually gives them to me or throws them out. Well last year my girlfriend was angry that I had a whole storage space that was rented to store them in. We kept a couple cool ones for our spare bedrooms but had like 50 or so in the storage.

Well I figured I'm not doing anything with them, so I put them on craigslist for $25 a piece or best offer. The best offers ended up getting ridiculously high! Some guy ended up renting a U-haul and cleaning me out. He bought them for between $100 to $200 a dollars piece. Needless to say she stopped complaining real quick whenever my friend stops buy with a bunch of store displays.

No, ace. It was a different guy. People seem to be getting them from kmart stores n such that are closing. So yeah if u know of a store thats closing soon, thats ur best bet to get one

If anyone's interested in displays our Gamestop is throwing ours out near the end of the month. If you are locally based (Near Downer's Grove Illinois) Let me know and I'll hold it for you. Its cool and all but I personally don't have room for it really.
