just grabbed warnado and camo at walmart here in ottawa il. now what to do with the expensive ones from ebay.... drat :/

Don't shipments come out of Ohio? Where is their central warehouse curiously?

Looked around here in Connecticut today and found nothing. I still can't find the legendary 3 pack either.

Nothing in Rio Rancho, NM. Just checked and called around...nadda.

So it is safe to say shipments made it to the center of the US, but not to the coasts. I have a feeling shipments might be hitting some Walmart stores around 9pm tonight. My Walmart suggested calling back at 9pm when their next shipments are to arrive. If stores are getting large numbers, that says there will be plenty to go around, same as Zook and Lightning Rod are now. In WA I can walk in and buy the 3 pack pretty easily. That says this same thing will happen this week or next. So everyone lets not panic, and just patiently wait to get our sets. There should be no need to ebay for them, or craigslisting for them, or even buying off of other people here. I'd hold tight and play what we have...most of us still have Zook, LR and Sunburn to play with still that should feel new. I know we all want to collect and feel like we won. But what's a few more days, right? I just beg you not to go blowing a ton of money on figures that should only cost 8-10 dollars.

I don't know about elsewhere but Zook & L-Rod definitely are not in plenty here. They've only shown up at TRU twice in VERY small quantity's and that's it.

Well...I think they seem common to me because I visit every store about 4 times a week and I see them when shelves are freshly stocked. But of late, I think you could build a 3 pack set in one afternoon and get all the adventure packs minus Dragon's Peak. After the exclusivity runs out, DP will be aplenty as will every other Skylander.

Went to the major TRU and was greeted with this:

Not only did he have a wall but also a whole bin was filled with him. I expect some kind of offer with him since they have so many.

Unfortunately for me, that meant there were no Camo, Warnado or Wham-Shell. Hell, there weren't even L.Rod or Zook.

That looks just like my local TRU. Every single peg that is for the single figures is full of nothing but him.

Legendary Trigger Crappy Ahoy!

Why in the name of all that is good in the world did anyone on these forums buy from Ebay? You didn't even wait two days for it to hit the stores!

Its funny thinking back on how everybody was wanting legendary trigger happy so bad, and everyone thought that ya had to spend 100 dollars at toys r us to get one. now they are taking over!!!

Are Walmart employees able to search for individual figures at nearby stores using the UPCs? I went to my nearest store with the UPCs GameMaster78 posted, and after the employee typed the one for Camo into his handheld scanner, he said that they can't search for individual figures. The scanner showed this store had 100+ in stock. He said that they can only see if a store has ANY figures in stock and that even though all of the singles have unique UPCs, when doing an inventory search they can only see the total number of singles in stock at a particular store. I'm just curious if this employee was just misinformed or if this is really the case.

When I gave those UPC's to the store I found 5 of each at yesterday, she said they had 80. Low and behold, the store had them.

They can say the number is cross referenced, which means they're all in an assortment, but I don't find it coincidental, that I found them there, after she said they had 80, based on those numbers.

She did end up telling me that 80 number is the amount of Skylanders period. However, pulling up the number can still say if that character is one of those 80.

Walmart online says to give those numbers to a Walmart associate for a reason. When she pulled it up, it did say Camo.

now i feel bad for the people who shelled out $40 to get L trigs early

This is either a training issue or the employee was trying blow you off. There is a button on the telxom (hanheld scanner) marked Tab. If you push this it will give you a complete breakdown of a every cross referenced UPC in the system and its individual count. You can also use this technique to track surrounding stores. Now part of the issue is just because a Wal-Mart has any in stock does not mean its on the sales floor. Mutiple issues with the way the company has been handling delivery of Skylanders mean they get lost in the backroom or lockup to be discovered on new release Tuesday.

Is there any way to check the UPC on like the price scanners at Walmart? I remember being able to do that in target when searching for the Wii.

Thanks for the reply. I figured it was possible, but I didn't want to argue with him. In regards to the figures being on the sales floor, the shelves at all of the Wal-Marts in my area have been fully stocked with Wave 1-3 figures over the last couple weeks, and most Wal-Marts simply don't have enough dedicated shelf space to accommodate multiples of 20+ unique singles. So I have a feeling a lot of stores are holding the newer shipments in the back until the older figures sell and free up shelf space.

well i called my local walmart about that upc thing and their response was;
1) they cannot check surrounding stores, apparently it's possible but the sales reps don't have the option to (?)
2) all the UPCs are cross referenced into one batch, so it says there are 80 of them total but no data is accessible for each individual figure.

are these both accurate or..?

Number two is. I talked with a manager the other day, and she literally showed me. She demonstrated trying the UPC for Camo, showing 107, and then scanned another figure (can't remember who), and it also showed 107. They did NOT have 107 of each.

I have had the "walmart lie" given to me as well. It was related to a particular video game (not Skylanders) and at one store, the clerk claimed she couldn't check neighbouring stores on the telxon. Then I went to another store and the clerk immediately checked neighbouring stores on her telxon. So it is possible. Some clerks are either unaware, or lazy.
