In the last two week i've gone to TRU when it opened to try and get new Skylanders. On 3/21 I only got a Legendary Trigger happy but I had to drive to a second store to get it...wasted so much gas considering there's hundreds of them EVERYWHERE now...

Then that Sunday I went for Dragons Peak. Alright cool, I got it, but I wanted Lightning Rod also. Nowhere to be found. This Sunday I went to TRU and missed out on Blue Bash by minutes. They gave me a raincheck for when Blue Bash comes in...which they have no idea when that is.

And that's just my trips on opening day. I also made numerous trips to Targets Gamestops and Walmarts and even Best Buys looking for Lightning Rod. Or even the Lightning Rod 3 pack (despite having no interest for Zook and already owning Cynder). Nothing.

I decided it's not worth it anymore. If a game wants my money meet your demands. I'm not going to be driving all around town wasting $4.00 per gallon gas to get Skylanders that a company can't even produce. And moreover, Blue Bash has been planned for MONTHS. It's literally a Bash mold with ALL BLUE plastic. SERIOUSLY? How do you not meet demands on that? There's not even a paint process involved! It can't take more than a minute to pour the bash molds harden them and assemble them.

If i'm in a Walmart or Gamestop and they have Lightning Rod, great. I'll wait til Blue Bash comes in but no more driving all over with false hopes. There's absolutely NO REASON for it. Everyone Skylander in a month will be all over the shelves. They'll be flooded with Lightning Rods soon, but to be the first one with it isn't worth it anymore.

Yea, but TRU has had the Lightning Rod/Cynder/Zook 3 pack online for a few hours now and you just missed the online restock of Blue Bash by a few minutes..., so if you have a raincheck for it from your local TRU, you'll probably be getting one pretty soon...hopefully..., but most likely not.

Ahh very much appreciated! Wish I would have gotten that Blue Bash also, but no big deal. I dont personally like Bash as a character. I dont even have the original bash, only legendary. The only reason I want Blue Bash is because he's the same as regular bash but his toy is more exclusive, and he comes with a "Bash" sticker for my poster.

I had a store credit because I returned my Dragons Peak that I bought online (because I ended up getting it in store) so it only cost me 66 cents + the store credit for this 3 pack with shipping.

Even though I dont want Zook, a new Skylander is a new skylander I suppose!

I would argue that it has never been worth it. In the big scheme of things, does it really matter if you get the new releases early or a couple of weeks after the frenzy? Even a couple of months after? I think not.

What do you mean by the sticker? Every figure comes with a set of stickers.

I didn't actually know the stickers were intended to be put on the poster until I saw it on the forums here. It makes perfect sense. My daughter is excited to spend the afternoon placing stickers.

if you want the character that badly, just use a homebrew enabled Wii and activate the character using hex edits.

if you want the FIGURE itself though, just wait about a week for the craze to die down. new figure frenzy usually only lasts that long

Agreed. Collecting is so much more enjoyable when you learn patience. I've never gone to a release day for Skylanders, and nor do I intend to. I don't even bother going near the store in hopes of finding new figures until they've been out for a month or so. It's not worth the gas or the time spent waiting in line/driving/missing out on a figure/etc. Do I feel stressed/angry/frustrated/etc? Not one bit. Activision is working on getting out more stock, and scalpers aren't making what they used to on eBay, so it's only a matter of time until these figures start becoming easier to find.

Its all about location too. Personally where I live (about 30 minutes out from Chicago) Skylanders never really hit huge. For example for our blue bash event pretty much 6 people were in line including me. A few more showed up right after the store opened, but if you were serious about getting something in limited stock they should have been there earlier.

I've never had a problem getting any of them. Its all about location and demographics I live across the street from where I work and from Toysrus. Like Cinnamonster said after a guy has been out for about a month they are much easier to get. Never ever pay the scalpers for anything. You may be able to afford it, but when you do you are telling them "Hey its okay for you to do this!" Scalping wouldn't work if they didn't have customers.

Ive got an extra blue bash if you want it. Ill sell it for what Ive got into it from tru.com.
