Welp, the first is approaching so I figured we could use a single thread for Blue Bash since a lot of our info and sightings and questions are spread around through different threads.

What is Blue Bash?

Blue Bash is a special colored version of Bash. He's a see through blue plastic similar to Slam Bam. The coloration was chosen by fans on a Facebook poll, and won over green and red. (See above)

Is there anything special about it? Will Bash be blue in game?

No Bash will be exactly the same as a normal Bash. However, this figure is more of a collectors item than a regular figure, similar to the Toy Fair Cynder and the gold/silver variants. Also similar to those is that Blue Bash will come with 2100 coins preloaded to the figure, and be at Level 5.

Where can I find it? When will it be available?

Blue Bash, according to the original information brought forth from Toy Fair is supposed to be found at Toys RUs stores, however Toys R Us in Canada has been the first to appear to get them. (Notably, depite being an exclusive, they lack a TRU Exclusive sticker on it's blister, which you can see above in the stock product picture. Hmmmm) The figure according to some sources will be available on Sunday, April 1st. There was also a preorder for the figure on TRU's website that has since been completely sold out.


If anyone has any sightings of it now (and on the first too) please post here and let us know your location. Also,has anyone got a shipping confirmation on there preoder yet?

haha I wish. Honestly, it would have been nice for all of the variations to get alternate forms. I don't know much about how they're programmed, but certainly, palette swapping the model couldn't be THAT hard.

Now that I'm home I'll add a HQ pic to the first post that a fellow user posted. (Although, if they could ring in, I'd be happy to put their username since I can't remember who..)

The palette swap thing would have been easy for any of the variants but it looks to have been a last mInute decision.

They can't even patch as the fig's RFID chip is identically coded.

Honestly, I'm glad that there are no in-game differences for variations. The variation system was so badly botched that they are for the extremely lucky or eBay shoppers only, with just Blue Bash and the Toy Fair exclusives receiving any kind of roll-out that is even remotely reasonable. Random, and extremely rare variants, quickly scalped and pocketed by employees, are very fortunately not a part of the game in my opinion. If they made variants obtainable, fairly, by players who want them, such as Blue Bash (rare, but attainable), then that would be a different story.

I really wish that they kept true to the original picture of the clear-blue Bash instead of giving us a cloudy-blue one. The original one looks like glass and has a gem-like quality to it, yet this one looks like someone pored milk into a mold with blueberry Jello.

Actually, the one on the product stock art isn't how it'll look! The first pic up there is taken by a user here and is what the figure will look like.

^ That's actually the picture that I was referring to, it doesn't looks clear and glass-like compared to the Facebook picture with the three colors.

Perhaps the corner cutting technique strikes again?

They will sell anyway so screw quality, I'm sure they're thinking.

So...to those who preordered; what does it say when you look up your preorder? Mine says "Will ship on release date 03/06/12" which is the day I preordered it. I'm kind of getting a bit worried that they're just not gonna ship those out.

want to make a "unique" variant of something? make it some transparent color plastic.
they did the same thing with their Nerf exclusives.

i think it's because it's very cheap to change out the plastic feed stock on the figure mould machines in the factory, and thus even if they only sell a few, the profit margin is so huge it doesn't matter
