my theory: they made this water characters
- gill grunt because he was one of the most important characters
- a dragon, because every element need a dragon. so make him a chinese one
- slimy cyclops
- slam bam, because we need an ice character. also wham shell, because he his an interesting crustacean

so to fit both wham shell and slam bam, they put the slimy cyclops and the dragon together in one single character: zap

I'm not sure why people are even calling this a "Chinese dragon", it lacks at least four toes to make it a Chinese dragon so it would actually be considered a Tibetan or Japanese dragon. It doesn't have a mane, horns, whiskers or furred tail like a traditional Asian dragon. Even though the Asian dragons are described as water creatures, a traditional Asian dragon doesn't have webbing between its toes. It's body is slender so that's probably why people are calling it an Asian dragon.

Yes I'm done ranting, sorry. Just want to let you guys know, I'm not trying to be rude so sorry if I do sound that way. I'm trying to be slightly informative.

it could just be because its red. and it could be a beta sunburn or a random character that was made during process times.
