Looks like they're working on something. Originally the site said that it would be under maintenance until 12PM PDT, now it says 3PM PDT. (Eastern Standard/Day Light Savings Time bros, that's about 3 hours behind us. So about 7PM here it should work)

Faaaiiill. I want to register my new guys. I bet they're adding the last ones in.

This is ridiculous! So this 'upgrade' has basically set me back a skyland, I'm back to Skyland 6, and have completely REMOVED my lair... What the heck?!

Huh...this is kind of...odd.

It loaded and displayed one of my friend's Skylander name, and started on her Skyland. Clicking on my own lair teleported me to the right one, but that was weird. It didn't allow me to select a character or anything.

New updates (March 22nd 2012)
-9 new spaces are added. Doesn't look like there's any new items for your Skyland. Yet..
-Now able to enter web-codes from anywhere; now in main navigation tabs.
-Now able to view collections anywhere as well.
-Expansions menu has been moved to the bottom of the screen, and now has Themes, Skyland Expansions and Weather Machine access all from that menu.
-Looks like basically a few things were shifted around. Also noticed you can select your Skylander similar to how you could in the mini games rather than going all the way back to your lair, selecting it and then going all the way back.
-Mainland has been changed to a more Spring theme. A new mini-game has been added, Runes Run. However, it's not available for play right now. Apparently we'll be running around the Mainland. Should be interesting. There's also this..thing. That keeps popping out from behind a tree there. It looks like a really fat, chibi Spyro. Hmmm...edit: I think it's a bunny lawl. It has like spikes on it though..
-I'm guessing whatever the 9 new spaces are, they'll probably be related to spring. Or in the least, maybe flowers. The cherry blossom trees in the Mainland will probably be one of the items.

In case you're wondering, Lightning Rod will appear on the left between Eruptor and Prism Break, Sunburn will appear in the front, under Ignitor and Trigger Happy, and Zook will appear on the far right, past Cynder and underneath Legendary Trigger Happy.

Looks like there will be a new Air and Undead theme hopefully soon, if you click on the advanced weather options it shows that they're greyed out and you need the Air and Undead Theme!

there was no limits last year. that is why it got so high, so no glitch here...

New update screen appears when you register a new figure

The Frito-Lay promotionwill unlock Runes Run. Basically you run around through checkpoints and try to grab the flying gem things if you can. You don't get very much..at least I didn't..only about 80 coins..

I'm ranked 3rd though, so that's cool.

Hmm..also noticed something. Level 7, which previously had a large yield of coins has been..well..changed.

There are now only 4 sheep on top (no more treasure chest) and the bars at the bottom have been replaced by 4; 2 Earth and 2 Undead. (You also are only allowed to use 2 Skylanders now...)

Apparently they also didn't change the point value, so it's basically impossible to get any where near as many coins. What a load of malarkey.

I suppose it was kinda an exploit... but bah!

Look like the upgrape skyland thingy seem to be glitched. I was able to upgrape it without the 32 skylanders needed for it

Air is ok. It's basically giant poofy clouds and mini tornadoes every now and again appearing.

Undead is downright creepy. It has a old citadel look to the ground, and a eerie green mist hovering around. There's like parts of skeletons and thorny vines everywhere. Pretty neat design actually.

Welp, I've bought all of them now. Time to go back to the Magic theme.

Found someone who got an air theme. Basicaly it a huge cloud with some pillar on it...

I hope so, but the most important it the removing of renting time...

I'd really hope they add them as well as fixing some of the point scores. It's impossible now to get a high score now that it looks like a lot of the levels have been reworked, as well as the inability to get a lot of coins from them.

Also, fixing the Friends thing so we can search for other players.

EDIT: Nothing was changed at all. Not surprising at least for characters since they probably won't be out for a few more weeks or so. Would have liked to have some things added though. Eh..

i just noticed the sheep shot has changed a bit. the sheep is now gold and there are gems on some of the clouds.

^ Yeah, as an April Fools joke, Spyro's Universe Homepage has "KAOS" over the Skylander's Universe sign. It looks like it's gone now, which is strange because it's not April 1st yet (at least where I live it isn't). Maybe it's just my computer screen?

They can't be rented. However, those of us who have Camo and Warnado can register them.

I will give a piece of advice. Don't register Warnado via the portal. Use the webcode card. If you put him on the portal to register for the first time, and it brings up that flashy new screen, it just stays blank.

So, yeah. Those who own the new ones, are playing as them. None of them are rented.
