I agree to that I'm addicted for looking for figures. Every time I go to a store that sell skylanders, I get so hyped up. Then I see that is nothing I feel so awkward for getting all excited for nothing.

I know right! That feeling where you hopes are high then BAM, there is nothing there. That happened to me at best buy today.

Lame. Happens pretty much every time i go to walmart or target. (dont have a toys r us close enough). But yeah the clerk says "oh we should have a shipment on monday" and nothin ever comes

So is is smart to go before TRU opens on the 21st or should it be an afternoon thing? I really dont know. Im getting mixed reviews of "GO EARLY" and "its gonna be awful". Im so confused!!!!

That's happening a lot lately and a lot of people have noticed. I actually found a Skylander in like a week or two, it was ghost roaster. And it was the last one. It was at GameStop. A lot people had had luck but here where I'm from, nothing.

Hey slpfw, it's ok. Personally I would say go early because you never know what will happen. And it may not be a loss if you go later. But still the earlier, the more you are most likely guaranteed a new Skylander you don't have.

OH btw another lame skylander story.
So i was gonna go to the local gamestop a while back n i decided to wait til later. I get there n the guy tells me that they had a silver one and it had JUST been sold to a guy that didnt even know what it was. I wasnt happy lol

apparently so haha

........ That is sad. First why would you buy so something that you don't even know what it is, well I take that back a lot people including me, do that. But a SILVER I would have died and fell on the floor.

Yep yep. the guy workin there told me that the guy was about to open it n he stopped him n told him he should sell it online.

Wow that happened to me too. I was at GS and a little kid was in and was looking at a boomer and i was like "i dont like boomer so whatever" and then he said "its so SHINYYYYYY" and i was like "should i ask for it and be mean or let him have it?" and i kindly let him have it. i still regret that. but lol we are the only 3 posting!

..... Well that guy just made like $200. Here's a story while I was on the phone with TRU employee. So Ithe guy was telling me the skylanders he mentioned stealth elf. I almost fell off the my bed, don't judge I like privacy. Then I asked he could hold her for me and he says " sorry she is a three pack with sonic boom and wrecking ball". I said thanks hung up the phone at the morning sucked.

Wow.... Well I have not seen a gold or silver Skylander which is good because I would have freaked out if I saw it. And we aren't even topic but who cares we are the only ones.

Rand, exactly thats what always happens! I need bash and i can only find him in the three pack where i have the other two! Also, its not like anyone else is posting so i dont THINK (notice the word think!) it matters if we are offtopic!

I bought the 3ds version for the characters it came with and i dont even own a 3ds lol. I mentioned that to one of the gamestop guys and he basically called me stupid.

Same here. I've not even bothered to open it since I've got more characters to level up. Im actually thinking this is the reason we'll end up with a 3DS sometime soon! : )

I thought about doing that too, but didn't want to waste money. It's weird now that the most unwanted skylanders in the beginning, like Voodood and prism break, are like needed and hard to find them by everyone, they were actually the first skylanders I ever got, they were in the three pack.

Its funny, i didnt even start collecting until after christmas n still have every one so far. I just went to target on the right days n they had tons of em so i just grabbed one of each. legendary trigger happy is the only one i got online so far. 30 bucks... ugh

well except for the rare colored ones... and that one thing... what was it called......ummmm oh yeah volcanic vault

I actually have a 3ds so i actually use my 3ds skylanders game and trust me it is not as good as the console version. its too easy to finish and is NOTHING alike. ( but this is just my opinion)

but anyway i have gotten darklight crypt online but nothing else really. oh and chop chop.

Now this is a stupid question but what does volcanic vault do? i mean like its 40 bucks and i thought it was free at bestbuy originally or something? is it worth it?

The Volcanic Vault unlocks a single arena skin that can only be used in PVP play. That is all it does in game.

I too bought the 3DS version (when it was on sale) and didn't even have a 3DS. I knew my boys would eventually buy one and they saved their birthday money and now they play Skylanders on both. It will be great when we are camping this summer to take along.

As for the "Vocanic Vault"... I heard it doesn't do anything (about 2 minutes worth). But I still ordered it off ebay yesterday from the UK for $30. That is the only thing I have spent extra money on. I wanted it for the collection. It doesn't matter if it doesn't do too much as Blue Bash doesn't do anything extra either but it is a collection and a part of the game.

To stay on topic.... Only 2 more sleeps until the 21st!!

Edit: Yes! 2 more days and still no more new news on the event! they will probably have this big announcement tomorrow or something.

People are buying VV to have it in their collections more than any play value. I am tempted to get it but have the will power to resist. I think I will also resist Blue Bash but we will see.

I am not sure that there will be much more news given about 3/21 from Toys R Us. I have already decided to show up an hour before the doors open but am unclear as to why. I will be very unhappy if I leave without bout Zook and Lightining Rod. Ideally I would love a DP too but I don't expect it. The facxt that only LHP was in the flier with no mention of a WED morning event scares me.

So many different things have been said about dragons peak, zook, and lightning rod being there on the 21st by toys r us workers AND skylanders fans. I think the only way to be sure about any of it at all is to show up at toys r us n see for ourselves.

I'll try to get you 1 of each if no limit is in place. Probably can't do 5 of each. Don't want to be labeled as a scalper. LOL Im trying to get more than one set too so I can give it as a prize for the contest on my site. I wanted to end up with 3 sets but I can do without a sealed set for now.

I don't think you need to keep posting the incentive for getting you these wave 4 figures, GM. That said, I only want one of each new figure, so if I can buy two (and only one Ignitor for you), then I will do so and send you a PM. Ideally, I will be buying a new triple pack, 2 Dragon's Peak, and the 3 singles you want.

Just got off work wednesday morning so I can go to this. Guess Ill throw a tent up tomorrow night and stay until the doors open wednesday. I'll be damned if any scalper takes my chances of getting wave 4 from me. Noone will be in front of me. Noone! Lol.

Well, like I said. I will reward based on how many people help me get. The closer they get to 5 of each, the bigger the reward. 5 of each, Lightning Rod, Zook, Dragons Peak - which may be there now - 1 Ignitor and one of the new triple pack (if it's in, but don't have to have it for the Cynder), and I will reward with payment for figures and shipping, plus a free Toy Fair Cynder.

Sarge, a piece of advice. I wouldn't camp out overnight. I was first in line about 3-4 weeks ago, at a local TRU. Doors open and I get shoved aside. One of my local TRU's said they aren't even taking people in a straight line. People can mad dash. So while you may be first in line, you might not be first to Skylanders if someone runs faster than you. Then again, don't you live in a place where peeps don't really care about Skylanders?

I'm expecting a small crowd. It is both funny and ridiculous to have a crowd gather before store opening for a toy when we are months away from the Christmas shopping season. I can just imagine how crazy it will be if the supply/demand issue still persists when Giants comes out.

Every Walmart, and I mean EVERY in my city has 96 single packs on order. There are 14 Walmart Supercenters in my city. So 14 stores have 96 on order.

I assure you, Walmart won't phase out what makes money. That's like them saying they will no longer sell Call of Duty.

My local WM is not phasing them out. They just got a shipment today. A small one, but one none the less. I got a Chop Chop and an extra Cynder for a friend. They also got Drill Sargeant, Whirlwind, Double Trouble, and Sonic Boom.
