First of all, DP will be released this month. However, I can't confirm it will be out on the 21st. I asked a TRU employee and he said he thinks they will. DP may or may not be there, but I have hope.

We've got confusing reports on the availability of Dragon's peak for the 21st event. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I truly hope DP will be there; I don't want to step foot in another TRU ever again.

Why not Alcatalog?

It's easy, Rand. If it isn't employees not knowledgable about anything Skylanders (most stores throw out whatever they think of), it's scalping employees keeping customers from getting them first.

That makes a lot of sense now. Once I went to best buy and they had nothing. I asked about the skylanders and he said let me check. It took twenty minutes for him and the manager to decided whethe or not to ask the cell phone guy. They brought four to me saying " we are holding them for an employee but he's says you can choose one". Luckily I had all of them, but still!

Exactly. It's not just TRU. I don't get why people are vilifying TRU; for me, they've been the most helpful out of ALL stores that carry Skylanders.

TRU and Gamestop in my city, are the worst when it comes to Skylanders. There are scalpers in most Gamestops here (like all except one store where no employees care) and two of three TRU's have scalpers working there.

Best Buy has been helpful here. I even have one store whose employees actually call me first. That's true customer care right there. A couple of the Walmarts here have been big helps as well. The stores know who I don't scalp these, so they're willing to hold them for me after they put them out, when they're not supposed to hold them.

Target is Target. They absolutely suck when it comes to getting Skylanders. I can't stress how much they suck.

Iv found a few at best buy but always ones i already had. I actually have never bought any from toys r us before but I guess thats gonna change on the 21st. Haha, when i told my wife i was gonna go to toys r us before the doors open, she looked at me like i was mental
Actually every one thats out so far i got from target. I think i was lucky in randomly going there on days they had just restocked. Im really hoping my toys r us store (closest is an hour or so away) didnt do character reservations tho :/ Id hate to have driven that far n find out i missed the 3 new ones. Still cant decide if blue bash is worth getting tho...
Oh and i went to walmart last night n found out they arent gonna sell skylanders characters any more... seems like a poor choice on their part.

Wouldn't trust that Walmart, Dragon. Walmarts in my city were all told to expect massive shipments of Skylanders soon. No Walmart is going to miss out on selling the hottest items. Walmart loves money, as do all companies. Whoever told you that, probably doesn't even know that department well. Even if it was a manager, I have heard managers say some of the stupidest things.

Infact, I went to Walmart today, where they had 3 packs out of Eruptor, Chop Chop, Bash, as well as Hex, Dino Rang, Zap. I bought both to help people who need them. Only thing is, I am seeing how fate treats me first, before I decide to further help people, or take back everything I bought over the past 2 days to help others, and say **** it, due to being tired of helping others, but I either don't get help or have ***** luck.

What have I bought Skylanders wise, over the past 2 days, in order to - maybe - help others?

- Darklight Crypt
- Pirate Seas
- Eruptor/Chop Chop/Bash
- Whirlwind/Double Trouble/Drill Sergeant
- Wrecking Ball/Stealth Elf/Sonic Boom
- Zap/Hex/Dino Rang
- Double Trouble (single)
- Legendary Trigger Happy (had for a couple of weeks actually)
- Legendary 3-Pack (x2) (had for a couple of weeks actually)

I will let fate decide. Fate decides to keep taking a **** on me, I'm done helping others. Should I get lucky this week and get Zook, Lightning Rod, Ignitor, I will be a happy camper and others can continue to benefit off of me. Even if I manage to get in preorders through Amazon, on the new characters, I would be happy. That is until someone had to alert others that there are listings for it. There goes that plan, because nosebleeding scalpers are probably refreshing those pages every 10 seconds.

I hit my closest TRU this morning and nothing but 2 LTH and the sign saying come back on the 21st. There was a long line at the electronics counter so I didn't hang around to talk to the employee. There was, however, a sign stating that the limit was 5 "purchases" per customer and nothing about only one of each character/pack.

Maybe. But not only did the guy working in the department say that, but i went there last night and the section where they had em is now filled with some other product. lens cleaning kits or sumthin like that. This walmart had the smallest skylanders section of any iv ever seen anyways.

Did anyone find any gold or silver skylanders in stores? I wanted to at least find ONE but i gave up on that. Seems like ya either have to work at the store or know someone who does.

Out of silvers and golds, I've only found 1 gold instores. That was Chop Chop. I already had him, though, so I gave it to my son. He opened it and uses it when playing as Chop Chop.

Well, it always seems when a wave first starts coming out, you will see silvers and golds. However, as the months go on, you never see any stories about people finding them.

I imagine it's too late to find golds. Wave 4 should have its own variants, which will be around at start, but dwindle as we near the release of wave 5.

Yeah my Walmart has a small Skylander set up too. And they are using it for screen cleaners for tablets. And never ignore best buy because I found six new ones I never had before! They werem whirlwind, drill, and double trouble three pack, sonic boom, drobot, and bash. However now there is nothing! However they changed the skylanders in the display. Cynder took the place of chop chop, ignitor took the place of erupter, and whirlwind took the spot of sonic boom. And the guy there told me a week ago they were expecting shipments, today the same guy says " our shipment was cancelled, so we ordered a new one and it's taking a long time" .

I also noticed that change in the Best Buy Skylanders display. GameStop's is still the same, though.

My grandma is going for me and there may be a line. This Wednesday we are talking about and people have work and school. At the TRu whe my grandma is going I would not expect to see that many people in the beginning. Depending on how many people have work or school off that day, it would depend. Basically for some TRU yes others no.

I'm planning on going early and waiting in front of TRU before it opens. Right now, there's just too much competition between other gamers, scalpers, and scalping employees. I haven't even been able to see a L-TH in TRU it's been that rough.

I'd rather just wait and hope for the best - that I don't waste my time Wednesday morning.

Meh i have nothing better to do wednesday anyways. haha il park my butt in front of the door n play with my phone til it opens. at least most kids will have school.

I'm having two of my friends go because I have class. Wish I could be there myself.

You never got an LTH? I remember you as one of the first members who were talking about LTH when it started showing up. You did not get any when toyrus.com listed it for almost a day?

Amazon has a lot in stock with some showing in stock March 21st. Hopefully the wait created enough time for everyone to flood the market and if scalpers waste their money they will have to resell for cheap bc right now u can get anything u want or need online today.

I find it sad, that this Wednesday will be 4 days away from being three months after Christmas and people need to line up still.

I plan on being disappointed. It's all good, though. Whatever fate awaits me, decides for me the way I need to be in life for now on. I'm tired of having bad luck.

I acted too quickly for LTH n spent 30 bucks on the first one i saw on amazon when it first came out. :/ oh well at least i got one.

Its not everyone, mainly just Drill... he has become negative lately on the forums... I think he is just tired of waiting... he wants it and wants it now... I have the utmost respect for him and I feel his anger... I have made my runs for the last two weeks only to see NOTHING at the 5-10 stores I go to... (although I was lucky enough to get pirate seas yesterday)... But I have only been collecting for a month or so... I have a ways to go... I just am not losing patience becuase who knows... 3 months from now there may be so many skylanders on the selfs and if you have the all it wont matter... I personally like the hunt... my son too...

I have hope to. As long as you are one of the first people there you should be fine. W

I have really bad luck at finding anything I don't have in stores. I missed out on the first L-TH slot on TRU.com, asked to be emailed when it was back in stock, and received that email two hours late because I was at work.

Thankfully, a forum member is pulling through for me and sending me an extra they have. TRU is just too annoying for me to deal with and I think the employees don't have a clue on what they're even looking for when I call asking if they have Skylanders in stock.

In you guy's opinions, when do you think is a good time to try n get there?

As soon as it opens.

I may go twice... once when I wake up around noon... (working nights this week) and then again after I pick my kids up from school around 3:30. That will give me time to scout out what they have, what will probably be left in a few hours when I return and possibly get my hands on some of the ones that they only have a few left of. I will not be going when they open at 10. My TRU isnt that popular and out of the way, so I dont think the skylander craze will drain them... in time it will..but not in a few hours like other stores... for example, when LTH came out, I didnt go to my TRU till that night around 8 PM and they had over 50 of them on the selfs. Im not worried about them selling out unless they only got like 5 in or something... I will probably get up around noon, check this board to see what others are saying they have and then head over....

I hope Bestbuy gets them too... I would rather spend money there.... since I have gift cards and they wouldnt cost me anything.. will be calling them too... just in case...

I would go twenty minutes before its open just to be sure I get something. And yes the skylanders are more expensive at TRU, especially the three packs.

Sorry to dissapoint u guys but the r us company usually waits till the last minute to send out emails for events. Emails are supposed to go out but odds are you wont get them untill tomorrow or even the day before. We had a sale at my store yesterday and i know the email only went out 2 days before the event.

I am planning to buy either the new triple pack or singles of Lightning Rod, Cynder and Zook, but not open them. Then, if I find the triple pack at the normal $20 price, TRU will be getting their overpriced figures back. Same thing with Dragons Peak. When the 30 day exclusive is over, i will try to find it somewhere else and buy it cheaper. It really annoys me that TRU sells at higher prices than anyone else.

Dont they sell MOST things at higher prices there? Mean ol toys r us
