Well remember that the photo is just a stock photo of the figure. For instance, take a look at the Slam Bam figure we saw earlier and compare it to the actual figure that came out.

It should look identical to this.


I picked one up because I really like what they did with the translucency. I'm a sucker for special figures, so I'm happy to have one in my collection. (hopefully I can find one at the store as well)

Well only if and only if I see it at my TRU and it isn't cloudy and ugly I'll buy it.

This applies to every sort of special colored Skylanders. It's no different in game.

It's just an attempt to get collectors to buy it anyway, because Activision knows that people are gullible enough to actually run halfway across the damn country just to look for it.

this reminds me of the "toys r us exclusive" green translucent plastic Nerf weapons.

He is probably my least favorite of all the rare ones....Maybe he will glow nice on the portal???

Himewad was referring to Activision "testing the waters" to rip us off... by him sayin Activision has been on a 12 hour swim.... That means they have been testing (and ripping everyone off) since day one lol

I was confused when I first heard about the recolours (of any characters, not just Bash) but I suppose some people might want to buy two of the same character, so they can choose different paths with them. In which case I suppose it's nice if they do look a little different. That's the only real advantage I see.

But I guess it's nice that they give us a choice of colour with some of the characters (if you don't like how the original looks, maybe you will like them in blue!).

I won't bother with any of the recolours - to be honest they don't interest me enough and I'm fine with my normal Skylanders, but each to their own.
