I hope this topic helps everyone who wants to get a sense of when these things will be out.

Translucent Bash: April 8th. We all know that one.
How to get it: I am betting it will be part of a promo, where if you spend a certain amount on Skylanders, you get the character.
Why is that how: Trucks never come in on Sundays. For this item to have a particular date, which happens to be the start of a new ad period, isn't coincidental.

So we all know "spring" is the release date of the remaining figures. Some nutjobs on the Skylanders Facebook page, who aparently stalk me here - because they want me - are secondhand guessing and lack any kind of knowledge what-so-ever when it comes to Skylanders.

So "spring" spans three months. Some tend to think spring means all at once, despite the fact "spring" spans three months.

Here's how I peg the release of the remaining Skylanders.

Wave 4 (March; spring) -

Singles -

- Zook
- Lightning Rod

Triple Pack -

- Zook, Lightning Rod, Cynder

Adventure Pack -

- Dragon's Peak with Sunburn

Wave 5 (May; spring) -

Singles -

- Wham Shell
- Camo
- Warnado
- Ignitor

Triple Pack -

- Camo, Warnado, Ignitor

Adventure Pack -

- Dragon's Peak with Sunburn (mass release)

I base a lot of this on observation and the patterns in which they have been releasing these. Here is what I am basing this all off of.

- Each Skylander wave has released 2 months apart.
- There have always been 3 new Skylanders released in each new wave. Wave 2: Hex, Dino Rang, Wrecking Ball. Wave 3: Cynder, Double Trouble, Slam Bam. Wave 4: Zook, Lightning Rod, Sunburn. Wave 5: Wham Shell, Camo, Warnado.
- Skylanders universe only allows you to unlock - for rent - Zook, Lightning Rod and Sunburn, thus lending credit to the fact there may be another wave after this next wave.
- Skylanders Universe only unlocks characters for rent, when they are nearing release.
- Ignitor being a part of wave 5, is based around the idea that if Activision wants to make money, they aren't going to release a single pack Ignitor before a triple pack, because many have been wanting Ignitor and Activision knows this. Activision wouldn't want to lose money on the triple pack he is in, by giving those who want Ignitor a single pack two months before he releases in a triple pack.
- Toys R Us' March planogram (reset) for March contains "Dragon Pack," which is Dragon's Peak. Incoming shipments for said reset usually come the week after said reset (March release for wave 4).
- May is 2 months after March and is still considered spring, so wave 5 should be released then.

So still no exact dates?

Wow skylanders are coming out in the next 3 months wow thanks.

It was recently said that there will only be 1 more wave. So, it can be assumed, that Wave 4 will be a large one.

I think we originally came up with the "Wave" terminology. At least to my knowledge, the figures were never classified as being out in Wave format besides the fandom referring to them.

So it's possible that we may get 2 more "Waves" but they're only classifying it as one. Or we could see the Fours released early March and the Fives later March, early April.

I agree with gamemaster completely on his theory, except for dp (mass release). Only because ebgames has april for its release and they have its sku but are no longer allowed to take preorders on adventure packs like they did for me with empire of ice.

I 100% agree with everything gamemaster is saying. However if you have noticed with every new wave comes the return of some older characters, such as Flameslinger and chop chop during wave 3. With characters of wave 1 being so hard to find right now, such as stump smash, Voodood, and prism break, do you think there's a possibility of them returning during wave 4 and 5?

Thanks for the guesstimate, this sounds like a pretty good theory. Crossing my fingers for Sunburn coming out in another week or two!

I really really hope that this is true. I'm still looking for Voodood, Bash, Prism Break, Chop Chop and Sonic Boom, which are all from Wave 1.

No... They said in their FAQ, that the remaining characters would be released in "spring." Spring last three months. March 21st to June 21st in North America. They didn't specify all characters would be released at the same time. They only said a vague "spring." So they have a three month window to release the remaining characters.

The reason I now know there are at least two more waves, whereas we all thought the next wave would be the last, is because the online game only allows for Sunburn, Lightning Rod and Zook to be unlocked for rental.

Truth be told, you don't really "know" there are at least two more waves. It's just a well reasoned guess.

I agree that Ignitor will be delayed until the very last round, but not because of the Three Packs. The longer they wait to release Ignitor, the more 3DS starters will get purchased.

Ignitor Single Pack sales will not negatively impact the Ignitor Three Pack Sales. They like releasing Singles before the three packs come out. Otherwise, they would make a three pack out of the new characters released with every wave (Hex, Dino Rang, and Wrecking Ball would be their own three pack in that case). They sell more characters by releasing singles first and then the Triple Packs. Why? Before the price increases, the third character only cost an extra $4. $4 for a duplicate toy is not bad at all. Especially, because they are so hard to find. If I found the 3 pack first, I would rather grab a 3 pack, spend the extra $4, and have a duplicate. This will be the case for all of us who already have Cynder and Ignitor. The other option is to hope to find the other two Single Packs. I will be buying duplicates of the two if I find the three pack first. That is an extra $8 of income for Activision.

My random thought is there will be singles of Gill Grunt and Trigger Happy as the extra characters for the 6 characters in the shipping boxes. Why? They will sell more Singles vice re-releasing all characters from Wave 1. Stealth Elf, Sonic Boom, Prism Break will have great sales based on their high prices on Amazon/Ebay. But are there 6 characters that will have that high of demand to fill the other six slots for the Shipping Boxes in Wave 4 and 5? Also, that means there could be 2 potential characters for to make a last 3 pack with Wham Shell. This is VERY unlikely as Wham Shell and Gill Grunt are both Water Skylanders.

What I think will happen, is when Giants releases, they will make Spyro, Gill and Trigg available in a triple pack and single packs. Word is, the new starter packs for Giants will either contain 2 new Skylanders and 1 giant, or 1 new Skylander, 1 giant and 1 reposed Skylander. I don't think they will include Spyro as a reposed Skylander in the starter pack.

I am also going to go out on a limb and say I bet Dark Spyro will be released as a single pack when Skylanders Giants comes out. If they're not selling the first game anymore, due to needing room for giants, then they need to sell Dark Spyro somehow.

I am also going to call this now. With there being 8 new regular sized Skylanders in giants, I can forsee two of them being in a triple pack with Wham Shell. Wham Shell is the only SKylander to not be in a triple pack, but maybe that will change when the new game releases.

Another thing to figure out is what will come with the new 3Ds game too???
