I do think it was pretty early for a Giants section to be made. But now that it's up, I see no reason to close it.

I see nothing wrong with useless topics. It's not like debates over Cynder's pose, Tree Rex's favorite food, or Hugo's hypothetical alignment with Kaos have ever bothered me.

Hey, I'm all for the Giants message board. I'm just as excited as the next guy. But when this topic started out, ppl were shooting it down saying it was a dumb topic. But that being said and this topic getting away from us, ill ask this (since I didnt even hear of skylanders til after christmas) When they first showed all the characters for the first skylanders, did they release the names and poses of all the figures at once or did they show a few at a time?

I wasn't around for that part of the first game. I didn't even hear about Skylanders until I started getting emails from TRU saying they were coming. I would guess that we will most likely know everything by E3 in June. If they do another poster detailing all the Skylanders associated with Giants I believe they might hand them out at E3...just guessing though.

Better path to look at things....

1) Kids like dragons.

2) The illusion of breasts easily recognizes Cynder as a female character, into a creature that is normally otherwise difficult to indentify in most other fantasy literature.

3) An obvious strong female character helps draw girls into the gaming community which is highly male dominated.


Less flattering...

1) The game designers are primarily male gendered.

2) The game designers are primarily likely to be American.

Both making us by world view as highly breast/sex - obsessed culture.

I would love to agree with you, but there's only one mod on the site (the admin), and he doesn't pay as much attention as he should.

So members end up having to make sure other members aren't breaking the rules, so that way the one mod on this site doesn't resort to suspending or banning them. It's sad, I know. But what else can we do?

That's the reason why people are making a big deal. People generally believe that dragons shouldn't have breasts, even though dragons aren't real so the idea is completely up to the designer.

Arguments are the spice of life. If everyone agreed on this forum, then it would frankly be a lot less interesting, and overall activity would fall since people are bored with everyone agreeing all the time.
