Thanks. TH has always been one of my favs, but he needed some attitude. I was also going to give him a tat, but thought better of it. All told it took about 9 hours. Yes, I cut both arms off, trimmed them a bit, repositioned them and reatached. Also, you can't tell in the picture, but the scar is cut into his face, not just painted on. It just feels like his in game phrases would be something like a dry "heh", and maybe a low derisive chuckle. Lol

didn't want to be the first guy to say it but...
interesting idea, not very good execution. you probably need to sand the figure down before painting him, he came out too glossy and there's lots of color overlap

I think people need to take their time doing this, use the right paint and the right brushes, and don't paint outside the lines, if you know what I mean. Just give it a new color scheme. Don't get too cute with it when customizing.

Yeah, I didn't want to use a matte finish because I didn't want it lookingblikeva stealth bomber, so I used a smei gloss cut with a little bit of gloss, still came out kinda shiny. Also, didn't want to sand it BC I was afraid of loosing the detail on his fur, he would have looked like an egg. Lol

I have no desire to do it. I have painted figures in the past for a different game, but I will not be painting my Skylanders.

Thank you. I would like to do some "darker" skylanders. Not sure who I would do next. Had a nice idea for Hex, though it requires some fabrication, and I don't have the resources t do it. Lol

I would like to see someone paint their own legendary figures, using the same blue and gold color scheme. Then you could have a legendary of each figure.

Kinda lol now if he could take this Trigger Happy off the base and remove the chip and stick it in an undead base and put him on it, i would b impressed

I think you did a fine job for your personal collection. You aren't doing it to make money / sell them, you're doing it for yourself - all that matters is that you're happy with it.

If you want to get rid of the glossy look, use Testor’s Dullcote: http://www.amazon.com/Dullcote...c/dp/B0035LOUMU

To anyone else interested in painting your figures, it is advisable to use Motsenbocker's Paint Remover to remove the paint already on the figure:

After that, you'll want to hand wash the figure with soap and water - do it with the figure upside down and use caution to not let the base get water damage JUST IN CASE. Shouldn't be hard if you pay attention.

Use a towel to dry it off, then let it finish air drying to be sure its entirely dry.

After that, you can paint your figure using acrylic paint, and again I recommend using Testor's Dullcote to give your figure a more realistic finish (makes it not be glossy).

That's really cool. I love it. Its a little creepy, but in a good way. He kinda looks like he would qualify as an Undead elemental now. The scar is cool and also what makes him creepy with his eye being white. And the cigar is classic. It makes me a little nostalgic for the days when bad guys had them.

@ bornsc, thanks alot, that is some awesome advice. I do want him a bit flatter, but irl he doesn't look as bad as the flash made him out in the pic. I will get the dullcoat for future project though. @ cow ,the cigar just says "badass" to me. Probably a left over thing from my childhood. My grandfather always had a cigar in his mouth and I am confident he was who Billy Bad as would have aspired to be. LOL

@cowpowa23, and what's wrong with him having a cigar? He may not actually be a villian, but he is dark. Besides, I think he looks cool with it. It just kinda seems to fit. So what if its an old bad guy look, big deal. Its just a fun custom design. Although, if I could, I would probally buy a dark Trigger Happy.

My point exactly. It shouldn't matter whether or not a cigar is an old look for a villain. Its just a custom version of Trigger Happy. I personally like it.
