ok, i'm probably missing the obvious but i've clicked everything and i cannot find an option to search ... what am i missing and if it is still there where is the search option?

There used to be the option to search at the bottom of the Friends List tab..but it looks like they either accidentally removed it, or they moved it somewhere else.

It had to have been from the most recent update that accidentally got rid of it. It'll probably be back shortly though, since the game is kind of in a limbo now with some users having the old numbers and some having the new names.

The ones having the numbers are the ones that didn't come online since the update I guess...

It's annoying how they have gotten rid of the search panel.

You now have to be standing next to some one to send a friend request.

they do everything they can so you can not interact with others. its a fear they have for you to say bad words, if there is kids around. after all its a kid game and kids must be protected from what can happen on the internet.

and how do you know they are mature people?

a popups that say: are you 15 years old? or something that force people to write their years of birth or something...

Too easy to bypass

It makes sense that they'd be overtly protected online. We all know the kind of people that lurk out there on the internet, and since many parents don't surf the net with their kids, its unfortunately fallen on companies to make sure their kids are safe. It's understandable that they have preset chats and phrases to use because most all online sites that are aimed at kids do the exact same thing. (Plus, imagine if there were no blockers on there. It'd be like the 12 year olds on Halo.)

That being said, I don't think it was done on purpose, because Universe wants people to make friends. I just wish they'd fix it though.

Well I kinda like it personally, I know I wouldn't let my 7 year old on there, even with me watching him if it didn't have those protections.

Have to agree with Nilus... if I want my 4 year old to go farm gold and experience, I don't want someone sending messages about such and such nonsense on mtv. Sure there are some cool people out there but that'll be what the forum is for... heh

I think they s hould make more preset phrases I met someone right now, we are friends but we cant say more than.. you rock! ... lets dance! .. :S I mean c'mon!! it gets sooo booring!!
