Has anyone thought that maybe these toy fair exclusives are why we have such a shortage of cynder. I am quite certain a stable supply for toy fair would come before the stores. Plus it is the exact same cynder just with a repaint so if they where behind in stock on cynder they would have prioritized a whole batch or so to ensure they had the ones they needed for toy fair. In my opinion they should have used a wave 1 or 2 for toy fair so everyone could still find cynder, lol.

Search through the Internet, you will find plenty of Cynder available for sell. Activision supplies, but people buy the Skylanders to resell them. By now the shortage is mostly caused by them.

Also, these figures in the Toys Fair, I guess they are like 100 maybe, not that much, nothing to create a shortage.

The cheapest Cynder on Ebay is currently $199.99 for Buy It Now. $500 is the most expensive. It will be interesting to see how much they go for.

sad that the scalpers do this this is the problem with only special issue characters you just cant collect them all well you could if you have the money but i have a young child and spending $300 on a toy my girlfriend would kill me i want it so bad though

nope... that was 1997 when colored text and gif pictures was all the rage on the internet. when ebay was crap and run by a bunch of hillbillies that didn't know better .

I would be tempted to buy a Metallic Cynder at $100, but I think my wife would kill me if I spent $200+. Metallic Cynder has to be my favorite looking Skylander yet.

Hey i was wondering if i could get some feedback on a question. What's the absolute most you should pay for a metallic purple skylander.Do you guys think 250 with free shipping is wayyy to much or not bad. Because it seems that;s what they are going for around. Any advice would be grately appreciated. Thanks fellow skylander collectors. :-)

You should pay what you feel it is worth. I didnt pay anywhere near that for the one I have. I also would never pay more than $100 for any of these figures regardless of how much perceived value they have. If you think $250 is fair, then pay it. If you think $200 is fair, then pay that. I know of people who have spent more, and I know of people who have spent less.

Well as far as E-bay goes $250.00 is a good price they are going for around $275.00-$325.00
$40 bucks would be better! Or free!!! hahaha

It's all a matter of what you want to spend!
Anybody know how many of these they made????

I think the bigger question is how many people got a hold of these and how many people are willing to part with it. I know a lot of the sellers are thinking they are making a killing with $250-$350 but Im guessing that value alone could double once the skylanders craze peaks (for this year) which is probably after the release of the giants sequel.

You have to realize that these are toy fair exclusives that will never be reproduced in mass quantities and are ONLY released for this specific event UNLESS Activision is going to pull a hat trick and simply put these out as another exclusive at some point.

I'm surprised that these aren't selling for more honestly. Considering that there were probably only between 50 - 100 made, won't be made again, and Cynder is one of the most popular characters I would expect them to be more in the $250+ range. I may have to pick one up myself.

The $250+ price range is price range only serious collectors can afford and with a franchise this young then only a handful probably exist.

Im pretty sure we can expect more serious collectors by next year and I can bet you that the exclusives will sell out quicker and even become expensive as long as Skylanders are still the hype.

Im sure all those toy fair Cynders will sell out as more and more collectors are getting into Skylanders. I am personally saving up for one and I also would like to have 1-2 as an investment.

If you are a smart bidder u can get it for around 150-200. I got mine for 200 even. Nobody seems to want to touch it or afford it at that price. I got into a bidding war a guy bid 190$ but stopped at 200$????????? Considering nobody will ever have another chance at these it is worth the investment. Mine will be here monday I cant wait.

$200 is also my budget but I am hoping for $150-160. Like I what said I want to have 2 extra of these figs for an investment. Im actually looking to get rid of some of my Magic the gathering Dual lands set to get to purchase at least 2. Finally found another hobby that a previous hobby can pay for LOL.

I know these are going to be super rare once they sold out but how much rare and how valuable remains to be seen.

Yeah I think I had my account in college in 95.
Animated gifs were da 'ish back in the day.
I had like 3 ebay accounts, was paypla around then? however two of those account WAY been cancelled.
