Nothing is in stock right now. Ah jeeze...

Well, nothing I want. I hope my mom has heart enough to get Whirlwind at least from Amazon.

I find the trends on zooalert to be fascinating. For example last night and this morning there were a few drobots and a few flameslingers in the available list. Now the slingers are all gone and the three drobots are still there.

It's kind of fun to see what sells faster than what.

Still the same three drobots on zooalert. Unless the first three sold and this is another three which I doubt.

I wonder why they aren't selling? The champion (we have him) is my son's favorite and for good reasons. I guess everyone has him already?

i would buy more skylanders online in places like ebay and amazon but its too expensive...activision really should make a website just to sell skylanders because stores are always out of stock

Logistically it is not worth their time to set this up.

They would also alienate their distributors by doing so.

Thankfully I managed to grab Cynder & Whirlwind today on gamestop.com. I would've posted on the forums to let people know but my account just got confirmed.

And this thread was a big help to help me get a couple of the triple packs. Really thankful for that.

i really dont understand why people buy skylanders from gamestops website. because it ends up being like $20 for one.... i havent seen any in stores in weeks but i still wont pay 20 for one figure.

That's not true. A regular 9.99 figure comes out to about 12-14 bucks when ordering from gamestop.com

I figure it's about the same price when I consider the fact that I'm wasting a ton of gas driving all over town looking for them. Way less of a hassle.

When i tried to get cynder yesterday it came up to 17.95

I just took delivery on two three packs I ordered from Gamestop. My only complaint is the slow shipping. As for price it came to $47 after tax and shipping. Considering that ToysRus would have charged me $25 each plus tax after I spent 40 miles on gas. I think I came out way ahead.

yeah, the 3 packs arent a bad deal because they havent marked those up. i forgot to mention i put the slightly more expensive shipping because i had heard awful things about the standard shipping gs uses. so i guess its not really that bad, but just the thought of paying over twice what the msrp is made me want to engage someone in physical combat for a minute.

Zap was in stock for about 20 minutes today. I literally walked from one class on campus to the next and he was out of stock again....

Hunting for these things is a hassle. -__-

Agreed, they had an excuse at first that they didn't expect it to get this popular. But if it's still like this for the sequel that's coming out in the fall, I don't know if I can support it either.

yeah me too they should figure out a way to make them faster or something otherwise some customers are going to lose interest and that wudnt be good for activision

If you want to cheer yourself up. Go to the bay and do a search on skylanders completed auctions.

You'll get all warm inside when you see all those unsuccessful auctions for figures under $10 with zero bids.



The comeuppance for scalpers is when they scramble to recoup on their overstock and have to blow it out for under retail and not break even.
