how do I take a picture and place it in my post?

Bought the 3DS version today, so added Ignitor and Dark Spyro to my collection.

I don't have a 3DS to play the game that came with them, though.

Same here, I wish I had a 3DS to at least be able to repair my toys if they broke.

Well did more rounds tonight. Found the remaining Empire of Ices I needed. So now I have a total of 4 (2 for me opened, 1 sealed for wall 1 for my kids).

I will update with a new collection pic after I get all of the each new wave. So as soon as I find 3 more Double Troubles, 4 Cynders and another Triple Pack 6, I will make a new collection pic.

GameMaster, how do you get all the figures to hang on the wall?

Push pins. Most are blue, like my wall, so they blend well. I have the figures dangling from the push pins, as if the push pins were the pegs they originally hung on.

I thought of using push pins. I would like to have an extra sealed set for a collection, but I'm not sure if it's worth investing all that money. I now have all three silvers and I hope to get a gold Chop Chop.

I have gold Chop on the way. Here's hoping he's the only gold figure.

Just Curious but how much did u pay for gold chop chop?

He paid $127.50 - I know because I watched the auction but could not bid as it would not accept o/seas bidders.

So, I got my gold Chop Chop today.

This is why I don't mind paying 127 bucks for it. A Toys for Bob developer told me gold Chop Chop is one per store. So if all stores that carried Skylanders in the US amounted to a total of 10,000, there would only be 10k gold Chop Chops in the United States.

Bottom line, every store will see one gold Chop Chop and that's it.

10K is an awful lot of those figures counting just US stores alone. Toss in all the other stores world wide and that number grows rather large.

Well let's say there are 100,000 stores in the world that sells Skylanders (some Walmarts in my area don't even carry them), that means there are 100k (this is an estimate; I doubt 100k stores sell Skylanders).

Now when something is usually truly a collector's item, it's based on how many are made in a world full of a billion+ people. The number seems much smaller.

100k gold Chop Chops is definately less than the million+ Chop Chops that have sold via single or triple packs.

Chop Chop is a pack in wave 3 single packs, so the market will have more Chop Chops, but only 1 gold Chop Chop per store that carries Skylanders.

Hmm. Ya know, 10,000 is actually a good amount of them out there. Although in the grand scheme it doesn't seem like that many, a few years back Bandai had a special figure in their Ben 10 line.

I got two of the Limited Edition "Ultra Ben" figures. While arguably there wasn't many scalpers out for them as their are for Skylanders, Ben 10 is a HUGE brand so they definitely had some weight to them. I just ended up lucky I guess.

Hopefully there's more of them than that though. haha

I'd prefer if there were less gold Chop Chop's. It's cool knowing you have something they make very little of. I don't have one yet, and I really hope I don't have to resort to eBay as I don't want to pay close to $200 for one.

ok I have 10 skylanders but some ppl say others are spoiled but noboy better say that about me I bought most of my skylander stuff the only thing I didn't pay for was the starter pack that was a X-Mas present from mom and dad (in a way dad is the reason I got into the spyro games but it's a very long story)... BEST PARENTS EVER!!!

700 pixels for the width is best. It keeps everything neat and doesn't tear the forum page a new one. In the least if you want to have larger pics, you can link them too...

Here's my collection. I have all of the characters available except Cynder and Slam Bam/Empire of Ice, (which I really want) and the Legendaries, which I really don't give a care about, and don't intend to buy. I'm lucky because I got into Skylanders in about November when you could still very easily find pretty much anything. By the time they were all gone after Chirstmas, I was only missing Chop Chop, Bash, and Sonic Boom, which I lucked out and found the Eruptor/Bash/Chop Chop 3 pack at a Wal Mart, and a Sonic Boom single at an EBgames. That's why I have two Eruptors. Because I bought the single before Christmas, and found that three pack later on.



I also kept all of the original packaging. Though I messed up Zap's package pretty bad. Don't worry, I do still have the card and all the stuff elsewhere. I'm in a minority in that I actually bought the 3DS game first, and only bought the Wii game when I found out I can't reset my character's levels without it. >__> At least I got the toys in the console version because of that. It was TODAY that I found the Whirlwind/Double Trouble/Drill Sergent 3 Pack at a Toys R Us. (B.C Canada) I take great satisfaction for the fact that I've found all of my Skylanders in stores at the retail prices, without ordering anything online. : )


Still on the lookout for Cynder and Empire of Ice. I was REALLY close to getting Empire of Ice once, but someone beat me to it.

*edit* Dang it, I forgot to include the packaging to the single of Wrecking Ball. oh well. I do have it though

I didn't know Mr Freeze was a Skylander!

It's a very well hidden easter egg, but if you put the Batman Animated Series Mr. Freeze figure on the portal of power, you can unlock the Empire of Ice!

Here is mine so far. My collection grew quite a bit this week.

My kids wanted me to do this so this is for their benefit alone.

Our collection that we have. 1 3 pack is to be opened and 1 figure is added to our collection and the other 2 get to take a long long boat ride to the opposite side of the world practically. The other 3 pack has its auction end on monday night.

I liked GameMaster78's idea of hanging Skylanders on the wall, so I decided to start doing that too. Though I'm not willing to spend the money or go through the effort of getting sealed figures just to hang on my wall. Instead what I did is that since I've saved all of the original packaging to my open Skylanders anyways, I'd just tape them back up, and hang the empty boxes on the wall. (I kept the cards inside them to make it look more attractive)







It's a good thing I saved those packages. These Skylander boxes genuinely do look really nice hanging on a wall. It's nice to have some wall decorations other than posters.

You guys do know you can keep the Skylanders in their package and still play right?????

I do that but then I get annoyed and open them.

Before you start I have resized this images in Photobucket, even brought one down to 180 pixels, but it refuses to do so - Gaah!

Took some new pics today after getting Dino-Rang and Cynder in.







So lets see, I've got one of each of the current Champions, The 3 Legendaries, Dark Spyro, the 3 Currently released expansions, the Variant Drill Sarge and those signs from each of the stores. (Asking nicely netted me some cool things in the past, and it still is!)

No pics, but this morning I grabbed a Stealth Elf 3 pack (unfortunate, seeing as I was hoping to avoid as many doubles as I can) and a Boomer. I'm happy about this. Now I need a Cynder and an Ignitor. Probably will wait for Ignitor to be released in single pack now that I have Stealth Elf.

Kinda off topic but didnt want to start a new one and my whole collection is on the board. Has any one thought of using them for heroscape.
