Either new or fake

I thought that blue was the chosen color from whatever contest they had a while ago. Looks legit enough.

edit : if photoshoped they got the flash right in all the spots and the shadows are perfect.

Blue was the color chosen but...it would be a see-threw blue (clear)
This does look like a real golden Chop Chop.

Maybe if you open the package carefully...you could spray-paint the character and put him back in!

I recall somewhere in the press release about the silver Skylanders, that there would be some extremely rare gold ones out too. Could be wrong, but I will have to check that press release to be sure.

you could probably open the package from the bottom where there is hardly any glue against the cardboard and plastic. Atleast down there, if you mess up, it wouldnt show in pictures at all.

I think i read that too. I'll do some research, since i have no homework and some time to kill.

anyone that have tried opening a package of skylanders know it rips easily a part. i would ask for more pictures from the side and backside. anyone on facebook asked for more pictures?....... anyway here is both....

It's NOT legit. If you look REALLY carefully at the bottom left hand side, you can see a slit in the plastic.

Hmm. Pretty cool regardless. I have a friend who made an absolutely fusion figure from another fandom (even going so far as to make a custom inserts for it) so it's not out of the realm of possibility to be fake.

I could also easily see this happening too. Lord knows how crazy those Silvers are in demand for, Gold for Wave 3 would work flawlessly.

But I see it too!

I see it too, but sometimes glue can become loose. I have figures I've purchased, got home and the plastic has started to fall off straight away.

Never happened to me before. I still thinks it's a fake. Expected the unexpected.

Oh, I'm not ruling out that possibility at all. Just saying though, it does happen.

Consider this. A young person wants to make the rest of the world think that they have a rarer than rare "Golden" Skylander. They find a regular Chop Chop, then Carefully slits the box open. They then paint it, rebox it and take a pic. But some of us aren't fooled as easily. If the glue was falling off, there would be slight package damaging where it is loose. Therefore it is a fake.

Not always, the damage to glue falling off can be minimal. Only looking at it up close will really tell us if it's truly a fake or not, especially when you can see the green chip is still the correct color.

See the problem with this is that it's a woman. She's a mother of a kid, and from the post it seems she really has no idea about it. That could of course be a farce, but I have to say, I'd expect it from someone who was younger, I mean...if there's just one of them, the person can't really profit from it. (since they don't appear to be selling it)

IT BEGINS.

That's pretty cool though. It means in the Wave 3 Boxes we can guarantee there's Cynder, Double Trouble, and probably Chop Chop. (Since Chop Chop hasn't been regularly available for a while) and probably Whirlwind and Drill Sarge. If they follow the last release, there should be a total of 6 characters that will be in the set, probably 3 Gold. Since we know Chop Chop is one, I'd say...maybe there's a Gold Cynder and Drill Sarge out there!

It's an Eruptor oddly enough with another Skylander. They're both open as well, but it could easily just be a paint job.

It is not mutually exclusive - you can still play with it MIB if you put it, in toto, on the portal.

Hello everyone. I picked one of these up today at Bestbuy. It is legit.

^You have Cynder and Double too? Cool... it would seem Cynder's positioned odly in every box...

I do like the gold tho. Better than the silver.

No, Cynder isn't supposed to be positioned straight ahead since her body length is too long. Bash is positioned sideways due to his body length too.
