Called the local target and they didn't get anything in today. It appears to be another skylanderless weekend for retail stores in my area.

Just to let everyone know. In the U.S. Amazon has been putting figures up for sale by them sporadically. They don't stay up long so you have to look for them. They show the figures as being in stock on 1/13/12. I purchased the pirate adventure pack last night, and after purchasing it changed my delivery date to 1/18/11. So far I've seen the three pack that has flameslinger, the pirate adventure pack, drobot, eruptor, stump smash, and maybe one or two more. I myself have not personally seen chop chop and sonic boom listed on there as of yet. So check it randomly throughout the day if you would like. The pirate pack was posted last night around midnight cst so they pop up at all times, but will literally be up for sale a matter of minutes and then they disappear.

Also, my local walmart got "3 cases" of skylanders in yesterday. The only ones they got were sonic boom, stump smash, bash, drobot, and voodood. All single packs. My local gamestop had 1 stump smash, 1 bash, and 1 drobot. So they've recently got a shipment but not sure of the date on that one.

Just went to game stop here in Ontario Canada. They had a few of wave 2: (Hex,dino rang & wreecking ball) and some zap figures. The guy said at gamestop that they are expecting a large shipment of skylanders next week. Hope that's wave 3 figures. I asked him if they were and he's pretty sure they are but who really knows.

At least my stragety guide book came in it should keep me occupied untill wave 3 comes out. I've read about half of it and for the 15 bucks i spent i'm happy with it.

I hope they come out with a Bigger skylander figure case one that can hold all of them including the levels And give it a cool model look to it. Anyone else think they will? If they don't bring one out i'm thinking of making something for them so i can display them very nicely. I have a few ideas but if anyone has a suggestion i'm all ears. Or if someone has started building one aswell any tips would be very helpful.

Joseph... more than likely there will not be another carrying case made. I think in their minds, one would only need to travel with one of each element to access all areas in the game, so the castle tower holds 8 figures. That'd be my guess, at least.

That, and they want people to buy multiple castles, and multiple versions of the game, and as much Skylanders crap as they can possibly sell. Making one case hold all the figures is just too generous, because trust me, people have got to be out there buying multiple castle towers already, not to mention the zip-up cases.

I'm SOOOOO glad that I bought them all when I did... my hope is that, when the kidlet is done with them, my effort of hunting down each skylander will reap itself some rewards or at least a fraction of my money back in the ebay market.

You should be able to break even on them on the aftermarket, after your kid loses interest. However, what I am doing with my son and daughters set of Skylanders, is IF they lose interest (we do tournaments at a friends house with him and his wife), we will pass them on to our youngest to play, when she's old enough to grab the sticks and get down on some games.

It's pretty cool, when you think about it. This game could be passed down through generations of up-and-coming gamers, who want to start on something easy and cool.

See i like the look of the skylander castle cases but you would have to buy like 4 of them which are nice butkinda plain looking and i know they are travel cases so technically your not gonna bring them all but it would be nice to have something to store all your skylanders in They could even make up one for each element and make it look like a leaf and a igloo just examples aswell make it so they can all click togather and make like a whole display case type thing. Just a couple of ideas off the top of my head i'm sure if they brainstrom it a bit they could really make something AWSOME.

Any ideas?

Vhraina and I are saving our boxed collection for, at earliest, a new car for our now five-month-old, in the event that they appreciate in value over the next decade and a half. If this franchise has the pop culture significance of G.I. Joe or My Little Pony, He Man, the old Star Wars figures, etc., I have little doubt that boxed first-gen Skylanders will be worth a killing by the time he's ready to drive. If we've got enough money to handle the car by then without selling them, why, we'll wait even longer. We've both regretted not leaving certain toys from our youth boxed, and see this as the perfect opportunity to give it a try. I've never seen this level of buzz around a set of toys, and the kiddos who are playing and loving it now will one day be the adults who miss it profoundly and, filled with nostalgia, are driven to hunt down boxed versions for posterity. People who rush to hock them on eBay are just being shortsighted.

As for our opened versions, I imagine they'll just be played to death over the years. We totally agree that it's a great game to start a kid off on, and are of the mindset that gaming can stimulate the cognitive faculties more than the closed-minded give it credit for.

My local target said they think they are getting them this Monday. I still think it will be the 15 th.

well, we'll see! once the characters are officially released the internet will be litered with pictures and ebay & amazon bids. and ALOT of happy/excited people! lol xD

Here's what I've found out:
I went to my local Gamestop yesterday and one of the employes told me that the "Second Gen" skylanders were coming out next week, but most of the shipment will be what was in waves 1 and 2, which he refered to as "First Gen". The "Second Gen" he was talking about I'm guessing is wave three. I'm going to the mall today and will post more if I get an exact date. I will HOPEFULLY be getting Cynder from Gamestop when they get their shipment. I will post pics if I get her.

US amazon has the whirlwind, drill sergeant, double trouble 3 pack listed on their website. It says out of stock but you can order it. It's directly from amazon. Not sure how long it will be listed. I've ordered it so I've confirmed it does allow you to.

Edit. They also have cynder and all individual character packs although right now it calls all the single packs cynder with the correct picture of each of them.

Called Target this morning and got the wonderful news that the Skylander Figures have been discontinued and they will not be getting any more in.

First time I had a negative experience over the phone with that particular Target. I'll call again on Wednesday.

They're probably going based off the DPCI for Whirlwind, which is discontinued.

However, if they were to pull up the actual DPCI for figures, they would see it's not discontinued.

How do you actually search for items that are out of stock... they are not showing up in the search results. I've seen the links for the new figures but are there also links for the old ones?

I just searched skylanders and it pops up. They only show certain things when out of stock. So you can't order any of the already released ones yet.

I knew January, but glad to know how soon.

Why does this make you happy? It means scalpers win again. They get ahold of them, but somehow we can't? This game is now a scalper's haven, as I stated on Facebook. This doesn't bode well, because now this stuff will forever remain hard to find.

He'll probably get the $75. These figures will sell out within seconds of hitting store shelves.

If this person has them, then stores nationwide will probably be unveiling them tomorrow or Wednesday. Be persistent!

On the off-chance that I actually find anything (doubtful), should I purchase multiples to on-sell to you folks?

I will simply charge what I paid but have the following disclaimers:

1/. The figurines are a bit more expensive here in Australia.
2/. The shipping to far flung places like USA/Canada is not cheap.

Hence, I guesstimate $35-40 for a 3-pack (less, of course, if you live closer to a civilised nation).

Your call, I don't mind either way. I supremely doubt that I will have any luck but I don't want people getting back to me and saying, "Why didn't you think of us?"

It's out, and this eBay scalper is not the only one who has it. Search results on eBay already yield two, from completely different sellers. Go. To. The. Store. People. Otherwise, no complaining when you can't find it...

Now, this doesn't mean Cynder or Double Trouble is out yet, so don't go scouring the world for them. I'm betting that, like Darklight Crypt, Empire of Ice is shipping in its own box.

As I said in a different topic, I got an email today that said my Cynder and Double Trouble had shipped off Amazon. So, this means we are getting close, within 1 or 2 days I'm guessing.

I'll hit up my local wally world after the MNC game. I will also make the call to target again tomorrow. I am also not holding my breath.

Just checked out amazon and nothing about the EoI yet but there are 4 scalpers on eBay selling them.

I ordered right after news broke about them, and all I got was a shipping date, which was in a couple of weeks. You're saying, though, that yours HAS SHIPPED and is on its way to you now?

I just went to my TRU and target and they didn't have anything new. Only target restocked on waves 1 and 2

Maybe they got their stock today but won't put them out until tomorrow.

Dunno about that Whirlwind. I'll check after school tomorrow and my mom will make some calls. If we all ban together, we are sure to find them!

Well, one scalper on Ebay has 6 of them. That means that person bought an entire case. I bet it's an employee of Walmart and or Target.

I have heard of Walmart and Target employees putting their names on these and keeping them in back, before they even have a chance to make it to the floor. If that's the case, how will we ever find them?

If they're out somewhere, it's possible they're out anywhere. A search for EoI would not be delusion anymore. Going and looking may well end up being a waste of time, but don't let this be a foregone conclusion when it's not. Keep your hopes up!

I tried here http://www.upcdatabase.com/ but the last 100 entries do not reveal anything. Then again, the stump smash i have next to me didnt come up either.
