He said it's alright AS LONG THERE'S QUALITY AND CREATIVITY. He doesn't assume it will stay this way, he just says it's ok as long as it stays that way, which is not the case for the other franchises.

If it makes $, it will be milked for all it can be. Take a closer look at WoW, another round about way activision product. The monthly fee is charged all the time but people cancel it. How do they get around those cancellations? Release a patch with new content. Subs go back up and maybe garner new ones. Over time, people cancel and get bored with it. Then a new patch comes out with new content and the vicious cycle starts all over again. So you can basically equate the patches for WoW to figure releases for this game.

I do not care what happens to this game. If it gets milked, so be it. If it goes stagnant, so be it. If a sequel comes out, so be it. If new figures are released for the sequel, so be it. If the original figures do not work with the sequel, thats just plain stupid. If that were to happen, then there is no way I will buy the second game. I like this game, it provides a great mind numbing experience for a half hour or so. It provides a break from reality for me. It also provides for some together time for me and my kids.

I won't at all be surprised if a Skylanders 2 is announced for later this year. When it happens, I won't bother getting it unless I see major improvement, rather than just new stages and characters like CoD and Guitar Hero have been bashed on for having done in the past.

Takes a while for game development so I dont think #2 will be out any time soon. And if you want it to be different than #1, add more time for developing that added creativity.

Guys, is there anything wrong with something being milked? The consumers get what they want (or not) and the big guys are making money. Whatever.

I've got some low expectations, so I've no care if something is of high or low quality, as long as I can personally enjoy it.

Pokemon was milked and we have black and white (though we do have 4th gen >.<) t the way cod was milk was becuase of it's multiplayer adding different guns and stats to them and still is sure a story is good but that's what they are aiming everything on it now. and the guitar hero well it was the same game over and over again with slightly new upgrades like customization or is that rockband?

The originality of this game for the next ones for me will come with the characters dans the levels/story. I'm happy with this gameplay.

I know it pretty well. I played them and even though I like the gameplay, I do not like the story and the characters, which is why I prefer the MP part of the CoD games, not the campain.

C'mon now, stop being so pessimistic. Nintendo is the very definition of milking franchises. Remakes, sequels, sequels to sequels, remakes of sequels, sequels of remakes, etc.

Every Mario platflormer, what do you do? Save Peach. Is it repetitive? Yes. Is it overall fun? Yes.

Same for Pokemon, Zelda, and so on.

Even if CoD or MW3 is being milked, so what? To each his own. Popular things are milked; that's what get s money. Skylanders is bashed a lot, too, so they're not much different from CoD or MW3 cuz of that. No one should really bash anything, including shooting games, as they 1) make money 2) make most buyers happy. If you don't like it, fine, but at least have a reason or be respectful. No "OMG Call of dooty SUXX@!1!!11one"

1. To be fair, it kinda does. The main formula of the game is good (like Skylanders), but the game is simply recycling itself, not doing much to change anything. The changes are so small, that I'm actually surprised when even the smallest change becomes evident (this gun now has GRENADE LAUNCHER?). Yeah, there's new maps and a different story, but the core gameplay is still there. I know if it ain't broke don't fix it, but it doesn't mean you can't improve upon it. This is what worries me about Skylanders. That it will go down the same route.

2. It wasn't really ok with GH or CoD either. I was rather disappointed when both games didn't change nearly enough either, to the point where I never bought another GH game, and MW3 (or MW2.5 to be exact) is the last CoD game I'm ever getting (with MW2 being the only other working CoD game I have). But even to be fair towards CoD and GH, they're cheaper. CoD only costs around $60, and GH without the instruments is usually $40-$50. To get the best of Skylanders, you need to get one of each element, which ends up to a price of over $100. The game is far too easy and short to warrant that price. Even for a kids game, it's ridiculously easy.

Nope, by the looks of his comments and obvious his mix up between a troll and a regular user, Tashi never been to the Stuff and Nonsense section.

Mine were all gifts, but I have some pocket money for the next waves. I have the PS3 and 3DS versions, and one of every figure released so far, and a Volcanic Vault from Ebay on the way. I also have 4 of the soft, round cases from Toys R Us, and the game guide and a poster. My parents did buy-2-get-1 free sales for all of my Skylanders stuff, so that helped, and I have two coupons for a free figure at Toys R Us from that. Hopefully those will be used for Cynder and Double Trouble.

Here, I'll make you a deal. Link me to a single Skylanders-related post CAV has made in the last month that has been useful, or helpful, or even positive in any way. If you can find anything he's recently posted that hasn't led to a "debate" (his definition, not mine) that's stretched on forever and ruined an entire topic, I'd quite frankly be shocked. But seriously, the kid is a troll who contributes nothing of worth to any game-related discussion here, and he uses his constantly off-topic spam (call them posts if you want) to ignite fights, and nothing more.

Face it, he's a troll. Otherwise, he'd have some use here.
