What is the most efficient way of getting coins? Castle assault seems quick once you cycle a certain number of levels but it can be a hit and miss.

I think castle assault is better than the defense for coins. The mini games on main island don't really give you that much either.

sheep are 1000pts each, so get as many as you can.

The Sheep Herding game on the Mainland gives you a good amount of coins. If you score 3,000 then you earn 300 coins, 4,500 = 450 coins and so on.

I tend to use Defense, but that's because I haven't had much experience with Assault yet. I get around 1k in 15 minutes or so.

I can never get the gold sheep to follow me on the mainland and can barely get any black sheep.

Any tips/tricks? Seems like an easy game but I always just end up getting most the white sheep, which yields very little gold.

Usually play as Boomer who has a relatively high "luck" stat not sure if that has any effect. Definitely helps with assault.

I'm not sure if luck has any effect but agility might. Try your best to stay behind the sheep when guiding them and not right on top of them. Sometimes when your too close to the sheep or change your direction, the sheep might change its direction or turn around and run the opposite direction. This is due to the game lagging or thinking that your ahead of the sheep. Watch the sheep's direction carefully, if it starts to walk in the opposite direction and you walk past it by mistake, it will run away from you. The Gold and black sheep are always stubborn and hard to get into the pen just make sure that they don't run into a corner or a small area because they usually just run back and forward. I'm very sorry if most of this doesn't make any since, it's easier to show then tell.

I usually play defense. I've become pretty skilled with it, especially if you use the power ups, lucky skylanders, bonuses, and treasure boxes.

Whenever I get a new skylander i just keeping playing chapter 22, kaos' lair, over and over and over again until im level 10 and I have enough coins on that character to buy all the upgrades.

I still dont see how its possible, usually takes me at least 2 skylanders just to kill the monster behind 3 walls

I usually just do it with 2 skylanders for a quick 101 gold but 900 gold sounds much better!

I did take two undead skylanders for doing this because of their rocket superpower

I'd say the sheep round up game would be the fastest way to get coins, as I can usually get 1K per run.

Orrrr, if you feel like being creative, you can dance next to the fountain for coins XP

^ You really don't get that many coins from bashing those but if you want to do it than it's easier in your Skyland because you don't have to worry about other players and they spawn more often.

There are treasure boxes that are hidden. If anything hits it, you get bonus points.

It's the elemental powers, they will be active after you reach level 16 if I remember correctly. You just have to click after your shot when you want to activate them.

How does this work to get 1000 coins? Whatever I try I only get max 927 coins...

To get 1000 coins you'll need to use two boosts instead of just one - First get rid of the chest/sheep, and when it comes to the set of three barriers, I use a boosted water type, wait for it to knock down the first block, then click to activate it's power. If done exactly, the furthest icicle appears on the other side of the remaining blocks, and you should still have one Skylander left over.
I only found that out after I posted that vid though

I believe nitendofan92 uses a different method to me.
