i figured i might as well start early and think up a few concepts. i have already thought out the main "baddies" (a legion of dim-witted robots known as the "Puppetrons"), and a basic level concept. its called Pumpkin Hollow. its a halloween themed level with black cats in devil costumes as good guys, and frankensteins, witches and knife-throwing jack-in-a-boxes (instead of boxes they reside in pumpkins). the puppetrons have stolen all the candy from the cats (who are trick-or-treating) and put it all in a huge bag at the top of a hill. the cats are too scared to get it themselves so spyro must get it for them.at the end spyro must flame the candy bag which sends a wave of candy rolling down the hill. the cats are enjoying the candy, when one says "you can have this peice, it doesnt look very tasty". he gives you a battery (the main collectable - like orbs and dragon eggs) and opens the portal.
spyro will still collect gems, as usual.
i would appreciate if people could also help with level design, dialogue, enemy/boss design and homeworld design. who knows, if my dream comes true i might put a word in for you?
come on, it'll be fun
