well, I was making a spyro and sparx banner for a friends site, and once i found a pic of skylanders spyro, i thought, what the hell, just for fun i'll search sparx skylanders and this came up

Anyway
It turns out Sparx is a magic item exclusive to the Dragon's Peak adventure pack. His first revelation was on Skylanders Spyro's Universe. No one knows what function he plays as a magic item yet, but I'm guessing most likely a protection or healing kind.

• Spyro fans first found out that he was to be in the game after his name was leaked in a interveiw

I know one thing, he creeps me out a little (physco sparx)

Andre Soqliuzzo, the original voice actor of Classic Sparx, was one of the voice actors in Skylanders. He possibly voiced Sparx in this game too.

It's like a mix of TloS Sparx, Classic Sparx and a bit of madness.
I both like him and hate him.

For those whom are put off by this picture of Sparx, I'd say not to judge TO quickly, because if you look in the background, that is Sparx in Spyro's Universe, and sometimes the models in SU aren't exactly always on-par with their true game counterparts ( Example: Drobot is all red in SU rather then green with red stockings.).

Oh man. That picture disturbs me yet makes me giggle at the same time.
I've yet to get the game yet. ( I'm currently saving for it, though. )

Sparx shooting fireballs? ... It sort of reminds me of "Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon" where you get those mini levels and he gets a bunch of powerups. o3o

i'm not judging the pic or Sparx, but really they could've got a better shot of him then looking like he's just come out of a mental institution.

When I first played it and Spyro didn't have Sparx with him I was thinking, WTF is this?

Yeah, I mean he never really has been big, but they could have done him as a exotic dragonfly, those BIG as ones

No. We only heard him buzzing like he did in the original games, but it's heard in Spyro's Universe. And Sparx isn't out yet.

He's called 'Sparx Dragonfly' in the official skylanders guide. The name shown in SSU is a spelling error.
