I can't remember which topic I said I would post these in, so I figured I'd just start a new one. I got my copy of the strategy guide for the Japanese Spyro 2 (Spyro x Sparx: Tondemo Tours) and there are six little comics inside. It's the closest thing to an official Spyro manga as there's ever been. They're pretty cute, though I have no idea what's going on in most of them.

You're making me want to retrieve the Spyro 1 guide to get some manga art from there even more, and I can't do that so soon after buying the Crash 2 & 3 guides. :<

I'll save you the trouble Burning Gnorc: there isn't any manga art in the Japanese Spyro 1 guide. There's some cute illustrations in the game manual, but the guide itself doesn't have those.

To be honest I really like Japan's weirdness, they're awesome in my opinion. It's just diffrent cultures really, they think all of us are weird. Also in Japan swearing doesn't really bother them, hence the reason it has swearing in.

Yeah, it's true. I'm a fan of Rurouni Kenshin, a manga series that's written for young boys, and the kid character is constantly flipping the bird. It's probably full of swearing, but sinxe Viz published the English translation, they took it out.

I know it's a different culture, I can still think that they're weird though, but then again what is normal.

I'm not too surprised if the comics actually have cursing.

The one that you can't translate is just standard onomatopoeia I think. Japanese ones are wider since they sound out things we don't even consider as sounds. They also let kids watch stuff that swear in it

I love these. I was suppose to make a Spyro manga a while back and never got around to it. I have the know-how to make a manga but I need practice drawing the little purple guy him self. I have trouble drawing him in a manga style.:/
