If dragons can breathe electricity, why don't they use it as a power source? In the catacombs of dotd, it is used to move a platform, so why do they need oil lamps? Is there an explanation?

Because the writers were desperate for plot devices? Seriously, though, I never noticed that before!

Also: Why use wind (rare element that can only be used by corrupted dragons) and several unique things to get through a level? Isn't that like saying "you can only open this door if you are a midget or blonde or some specific thing". And it's not because they set it up for a purple dragon, because spyro can't use wind or fear or shadow.

They may not have a way to harness it for long periods of time. Things powered by lightning breath always run out of energy relatively quickly, and it would be difficult to have a dragon continuously powering something all day.

The horns aren't necessarily linked to wind, wind is just a quick way of breathing air into something. Also, if you remember correctly, they did use electricity in the concurrent skies. However, that still doesn't answer why they couldn't have objects powered by electricity. Maybe they hadn't found a way to store electricity for a long period of time? Maybe that's why the platforms would move back after some time?

Spyro I believe could learn wind. But for the others, those were only granted due to corruption, therefore, not natural or realistic elements. |

Wind is essentially fire breath, but without fuel or a spark.

But fear and shadow still make no sense I guess. I mean, unless they wanted evil dragons to win.

So if it wasn't for cynder being there for those puzzles they would of been screwed?
That makes Malefor ten times a idiot "Hey guys I'mma go corrupt some chick now who is attractive for teenage dragon standards and hope it doesn't backlash me...not at all" |

You know Spyro's real reason for rescuing Cynder at the end of ANB, right? He was all like, "Yeah, I'mma tap that." |
