Has anyone ever noticed how Twilight Harbor sounds a lot like Pearl Harbor? Not only that, but the enemies have guns and weapons kind of like in Pearl Harbor. Plus there's water everywhere.
A coincidence?

Holy crap, I never noticed that.
Although I do admit I always thought of World War 2 when I went into that level due to the guns and such. Hehe. Anyway, nice find. I'm not sure if that's a coincidence.

Erm, I'm pretty sure EVERY military harbour has guns and weapons, otherwise they wouldn't be military harbours.
And how do 'pearl' and 'twilight' sound alike?

I'm with BG on this one. Heck, harbors in general have guns. It's just a dockside where ships exchange goods.

There's also grenades and bombs, too.

Interestingly enough, grenades weren't what made Pearl Harbor famous, and bombs weren't the big reason it's famous. If there were kamikaze Land Blubbers in Twilight Harbor, you might have a case, but there aren't.

There's Land Blubbers in Ripto's Rage. Maybe they originally wanted to put them in Twilight Harbor, but it didn't work out?

Yeah, how do grenades and guns fit into this?
Pearl Harbor involved an air-to-ground assault. I don't believe there was any kind of major defense or counter-attack from the Americans, as they weren't expecting it in the slightest. Over 2000 American casualties, yet only 65 Japanese Empire casualties, and those were either kamikazes, accidents, and midget submarines, I believe. Quick overview of 1st and 2nd wave attack on Pearl Harbor. 1st wave 1st Group (targets: battleships and aircraft carriers) 50 Nakajima B5N Kate bombers armed with 800 kg armor piercing bombs, organized in four sections 40 B5N bombers armed with Type 91 torpedoes, also in four sections 2nd Group – (targets: Ford Island and Wheeler Field) 54 Aichi D3A Val dive bombers armed with 550 lb general purpose bombs 3rd Group – (targets: aircraft at Ford Island, Hickam Field, Wheeler Field, Barber’s Point, Kaneohe) 45 Mitsubishi A6M Zeke fighters for air control and strafing Six planes failed to launch due to technical difficulties. Second wave 1st Group – 54 B5Ns armed with 550 lb and 132 lb general purpose bombs 27 B5Ns – aircraft and hangars on Kaneohe, Ford Island, and Barbers Point 27 B5Ns – hangars and aircraft on Hickam Field 2nd Group (targets: aircraft carriers and cruisers) 81 D3As armed with 550 lb general purpose bombs, in four sections 3rd Group – (targets: aircraft at Ford Island, Hickam Field, Wheeler Field, Barber’s Point, Kaneohe) 36 A6Ms for defense and strafing I think 4 failed to launch this wave |

LMAO! EVERY harbor has water, that's what makes it a harbor! Any military base is going to have guns. |

Y'know, nobody seems to have noticed that Twilight Harbor is in the sky. So, just to clear things up, the more we talk about this, the less it resembles Pearl Harbor.
