Spyro in Disney Land!!?? [CLOSED]

Was in Disney Land: Epcot and there was a ride called "Figmint" and the main character of the ride was a small purple dragon with a long neck red wings and yellow horns and spikes! Have Disney stolen this idea from Insomniac??

I remember reading somewhere that Insomniac got their inspiration for Spyro from a cartoon dragon. They must've got the idea from Figmint.

Figmint is actually one of the pictures that pop up in the random box in the upper right hand corner. smilie

The ride was called Journey Into Imagination and existed for a good twenty years or so before Spyro came out. Figment was one of the two characters who took you through the ride (seriously, look it up on YouTube, it's wonderful). The ride has changed twice since then and is pretty terrible now, alas.

Awww! I got on Figmint's ride when I went to Disney in 2006! I bought a stuffed Figmint ONLY because he reminded me of Spyro :3

The ride didn't remind me of anything from Spyro though.. the ride pretty much encouraged us to use our imagination.

Im not really sure, I mean spyro is obviously alot cooler than this Figmint character, I like to think Spyro came first. But honestly, Its likely Disney stole it. They probably thought, people like spyro, Insomniac wont sell us spyro rights, we need more people, so lets use it anyway. Either way I dont think spyro has been living a lie, hes still the coolest.

Ok no harm done. I swear i have sound logic behind my extreme dislike of Skylanders, but thats for another topic and another day, btw read my "Fixing the spyro timeline" please It appeals to TLOS and original series fans alike.
