Hello, (again) i'm a relatively novice artist, and i just thought id share some of the stuff i've done recently with you guys. (id show more, but my printer is borken, so i cant scan in my pencil drawings.)

I actually use GIMP. last i checked, photoshop costs money, and id rather spend my money on other things.

Also, while i am proud of these, i still feel like a novice.

well, ive been drawing since i was what, 5? but those sucked, and i only started really going into it, and taking it seriously this year. i have followed loads of tutorials, and have made progress, but i cant draw humans worth a snot.

also, new artwork. i've been working on this one for a little while now while we were chatting.

Yes, his name is Falthis. he is a gray dragon who can breathe ashes, and is a character in a fanfic i am writing.

EDIT: I have writers block, actually. as well as shifting interests. my shifting interests make it hard to stay focused on projects of a single type for very long.

well, i dont sit and think of my ideas, i go out into my yard, pick up a stick or something, and act out the next few chapters. it stems form when i used to play out in the yard when i was younger.

Indeed it is. works better the forcing the ideas, at any rate. The only downside is i have no fence, so just about EVERYONE can see. and it makes me feel really immature if i spot someone watching.

Indeed. I usually use my front yard, as its much larger then my back yard.

I did that one about... a week or two ago? im not very proud of it. i had mostly been drawing with pencil by the time i made this one, so i wasnt very good with the shading in gimp yet. i decided to show it to you people, because i felt like it. do i need any other reason?

actually, that is spyro and cynder. its a conceptual art for a scene form my fanfic.

yeah, i know. but i thought ember was more of a reddish color? (ive never actually played the games that ember starred in, so what reason would i have for drawing ember?)

Yeah. i use a very simple method when drawing humans, but i don't really want to detail that right now.

that is the main villain of my fanfic, named thermar, and he's a warlock.

I made this one a few months ago, and i am extraordinarily proud of it.

Hm. yes well, i was working on another pic earlier.... but i got the shading all wrong, and i just was not in the drawing mood, so i didn't want to stress myself out, and stopped.
