I've been thinking about selling my PS2 versions of Dawn of the Dragon and The Eternal Night for the Wii versions. Is this a good idea? Is the Wii better? I'm uncertain.

^ well in my personal opinion I think yes. I have both for the Wii at the moment. especially TEN for me though is better for the Wii. at times on Dotd the controls can be a pain in the butt on the Wii though. depends how shaky your hands are.xD

TEN: I certainly like it better on the Wii. so I say yes. you can play it with Wii controls or the Classic control so you could switch it up.
Dotd: if you don't mind the somewhat difficult controls then go for it. but the tumble-dodge is a pain occasionally. activating at random times if you aren't still enough.

It's not going to be much different in TEN's case.
You should get the Xbox 360 version of DotD if you are to get any version, or the PS3 version.

I agree with Brawler on the Xbox 360 version. The Wii doesn't hold up to its graphic superiority. FYI, I have both the Wii and 360 version of DotD so I would highly recommend the 360 version.

For Ten. . . Eh, go with the Wii. Wii should be more superior to the PS2 anyway.

But you have to consider that you will probably not make enough money to buy even one of the games by selling the PS2 versions. I have TEN on Wii, and the graphics are only minorly better (480p resolution, and some improved colours and textures, as well as better shading). The only other difference is motion controls, which are not too shabby in TEN, but I still much rather use the Classic controller.

I'd definitely trade the PS2 DotD copy for the Wii version, personally. I don't know about TEN, seeing as I haven't played the Wii version.

The Wii version of TEN is better then PS2 basically. though I always use the classic controller you also have the Wii controls, like sonicbrawler said they're not too bad.

Also, yea. the Xbox or PS3 versions are better then the Wii if you're looking for better graphics and the controls are certainly more stable.

My only control related gripe on DotD 360 is that switching elements can be annoying, due to the 360's terrible d-pad. I sometimes find I switch between a few elements as opposed to one. Not too big a problem, but gets on my nerves...

So then maybe PS3 would be a better choice. overall the graphics are probably a little bit better. however, just selling those two games will not be enough to but the game on pretty much any system.

The only thing about the PS3 version is that it has no trophies, though it does have SixAxis control for flying (don't know how well it works, but I think it's optional). But it's also extremely rare...

I've heard in reviews that the worst version of TEN is for the Wii, but that's when they're talking about the proper controller that you use and not the classic.

The wii has humble graphic options so wheather you switch to 360 or ps3 does not make much difference, i initially had wii and the graphics were fine.

Well, I don't have a Wii, but I do have a PS2, and I think the PS2 versions of the games are better.

Keep the PS2 versions. They're the most fun f the versions I've played and less annoying with the control schemes than the Wii version. >.>

PS2 controllers are easy to use. I've never tried the Wii controller and it seems a bit confusing.

Classic controller for TEN? Yeah, after playing DotD for Wii with the Numchuck. . . yeah, use the classic controller all the time. Won't play TEN without it. . . shoot, won't play TEN at all. . . Game has so many cheap shots its ridiculous. smilie

lol, jk! I actually love TEN. however the cheap shots get on my nerves. I always play with the classic controller too. however the Wii controls for TEN are better then Dotd's by far.

I replayed the whole trilogy recently, and I didn't really find many cheap shots in TEN. One or two maybe. You just have to really mix up your combos. I had such an awesome run on Dragon Challenge 5...I created so many new combos I never tried before! <3

No, I guess not. it's funny actually when the batteries die on me and i'm scrambling to get new ones before I die and when I get them the first thing I do is go and die like a fool.X3

to stay on topic a little bit. if you get the Wii version of TEN make sure you have plenty of batteries on hand.if not... that'll be a cheap shot!

^I don't think it really matters about the graphics. I think they're the same.
Classic controllers and easier to use. So, keep your PS2 Spyro games.

Yeah, you should. I hear that the Wii version of DOtD has MUCH better sound quality than the PS2 version. -.-'

Hey, now you gave me an idea! I think I'll do that now! smilie
