I think there should be a spyro manga. There is already a crash manga being developed as we speak (or type I guess). I only wonder two things, one which game should it be based on, and two who should make it. Does anyone else agree with the idea, if so or not so why? I personally like the idea of a Spyro manga, but it would have to be based on the spyro game's plot. It would probably be a Std manga not a TloS

I could see a manga for both classic and tlos. I think it would be pretty interesting. I could actually make one myself since I already am familiar with making manga and have the things I would need to get it done. but, I'm just not sure if I have the time for it.

If I did, then I could put it on DA and you could all see it.:3

Uum, well... okay here's what I'll do.

spyro glitcher: that sounds fine. maybe, it will work. I draw quite nicely if I do say so myself. so, I guess we'll see then.

Now... do you mind if I take some time to draw something up so that you can see how it will look? if it looks good enough I'll go further into the idea and we'll talk about characters and other things like that. i CAN'T SAY IF i'll be able to fully commit to this yet since my life is very busy, but I'll see how it goes.

I have to ask, are you going to base it off of one of the spyro games? If so which ones, I think StD 3 YotD is the best pic.

Well it depends. that's one of the things I'll need help with in choosing. I think year of the dragon is a good choice. perhaps I could have more people give me their opinions as well. though I could go for more then one game.

How about fusion? I always imagined that Classic could be the older brother, Legend is the middle child and that Skylanders was the fiesty young sibling

A section for fan characters might be a nice addition but we already have deviantART for that and it would be rather hard to... *ahem*Moderate...

I always tthought there should be an AHT/Fusion/SL manga. It seems like the right set for it.

I always imagined Classic was new spyro's ancestor. Meh, I like the related idea to. I think it would be a good idea to go to my spyro anime thread for other tips and such.

I've made a few.

Anime is derived from animated, and manga is basically the same without animation. For example a Spyro cartoon would be anime while a comic would be manga.

I'm not sure exactly what I'm doing, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep it based on the video games if anything. about the fan characters... I'm not too sure about that either. it could be a little diffucult to manage as well.

If this is going to be done. I need to do some work on it. I want to draw a test page, to see if it's well liked or not. I also am pretty familiar with making manga and the manga industry. I've been around the mountain and back. so, if I go through with this I have to know what is I'm doing and get down to business you know?

Not sure if I'm an expert but I'm pretty darn good...

I'm going to draw a test page of the manga but it might take me a while you have to give me at least a week. I'm very busy.

@Blacknight12 Take as long as you need, a chapter of the Crash manga takes about a month or two to update normally.

Also a manga is read from right to left, as apposed to the average comic.

Oh, I know. several manga only release one chapter a month and others are weekly. I've yet to look at crashes manga yet though. I'll have to see it.

Thanks, I already knew about the right to left thing though. I'm pretty into manga and anime and I've read tons of series. I've already made a few manga and if I wanted to I could get it published and all. in the past I researched a lot about manga and how it's made and the process and all of that. I have programs on my computer even to make my manga an easier task and it comes out a lot prettier!:3

I'll start tomorrow. I'll start making a page and when the first test one is done I'll put it on here so you all can see it. if it's good I'll make an entire chapter. thank you and anyone else who gives this project any support.

Well, I'm going to attempt making a manga of Spyro. I hope I'm close enough to an expert japanese artist. all I always drew when I was a kid was manga and anime. I've studied manga making and all of the things you need and such so I'm pretty good.

In devianART there is lot of mangas wich are fusion from classic and los ,......... BUT those mangas are always telling about the time after dotd . So it would be nice to se manga which is telling about some spyro game there could be self made charapterrs but still it would be telling about yotd or some else spyrogame. Thats what i think . BUt nice idea, i hope you all good for making this manga =)

That would be darn awesome. I was thinking about making a Spyro anime for the future, but If the company would actually make a manga I would read it all.

I wouldn't mind a TLoS anime/manga. If they pulled it off right.

Same...novel wouldn't be bad either...seeing as I am reading a brilliant one based on a game, it could work for TLoS.

I think a manga is what suites StD but a novel best suites TLoS.

I could see a manga for LoS more than the classic as it had more story than just a platforming game where you collect gems but then again they could always make both, one for adults -LoS- with more action, drama, romance, etc etc. and the other more for kids

You have a point here, but I think that old spyro just has more of that 'I can make a plot from this' vibe to me. There are very few things that give me that vibe; Minecraft, Terraria, Old Spyro, and Gyaogen Sagas (just because I'm writing it).

What would you rather have of the two? LoS to be a whole film? Or a whole novel?
Then same question for the original Goonro,
Original Spyro to have a TV series? Or a comic book?
