Hi. What's up?
My name is Cloud.
I am not human.
Ohmygosh! UFO's exist! Shock shock! Biiiig surprise! No, not reallt. I'm no alien. I grew up on Earth like the rest of you. I had a normal enough life, really. Red hair, green eyes, height of 5 foot 9, and extremely pale white skin that somehow didn't burn, but didn't tan either. Oh, right, and cat ears; and a tail. Yes, cat ears. I said tail. I did say I'm not human. Still, it wasn't noticable, even for me, until I turned 14.

ooh, sounds intresting. X3 i like how you start off with the character saying like who they are, as if they're actually talking to someone. i like how UFO's are mentioned, and how it says ''yes, cat ears. i said tail. i did say i'm not human.'' it does add some humor to the intro. i can't wait to see the first chapter. X3

Who now? o.o *never even looked at AB's story* What now? Huh? AB, I don't read any of your stories. And, brief spoiler, Cloud (WHO IS MADE OBVIOUSLY FEMININE IN THE FIRST CHAPTER!!!!) has black kitty ears and tail. And no elf ears. And no green markings. Another brief spoiler, her mark is as black as night, like her ears and tail.

Those bits aren't in the first chapter, or the second, and you'll have to buy the book to see the mark.

Oh. Wow. As I've said, I'm only posting one, MAYBE MAYBE two chapters. They're long chapters though, so you'll have a decent amount of reading material for a while.

Chapter 1

I was sitting at the lunch table, eating my smoked salmon sushi (Yum!). My boyfriend came up behind me and practically tackled me.
"Cloudy!" He cried, and I jumped, slamming my head into his chin.
"Ow! Derek! I'm sorry! but you know not to sneak up on me like that." I rubbed my head, turning around to look at Derek, who was rubbing his chin.
"Sorry, sorry. I know, I forgot. sorry love." Derek's icy blue-grey eyes smiled at me, his black hair falling into his face again as he sat down next to me. I brushed it out of his eyes and he kissed me gently.
"Well. Forgiven." I said, slightly dazedly. Derek smiled at me again, then stole a piece of my sushi. I smacked him on the arm. "Hey! You may be perfect, but that gives you no right to steal my sushi!" I snapped. He shrugged, eating the shushi whole and wrapping his tan arms around me.
"So?" He asked. I shrugged. "Eh."
At that moment, my best, and pretty much only, friend sat down across from us. I say only because every girl in school, except hr hated my guts. All because I was dating Derek, hot Junior in our high school, when I was a 14 year old sophomore who'd gotten bumped up a year for being smart. Oh how I was hated. All the same, I didn't really care. It was worth it.

"Heey! How is?" Rebecca asked, smiling a braces smile. She was more average looking than I was, yet SHE was the rich one. Woth her brown hair, brown eyes, and shortness of 5'4", she really looked anything BUT rich.
"Life? Decent. Sushi? Yum." I said, grinning evily. Derek laughed silently beside me as Rebecca looked slightly stunned. Not many people had the nerve to actually talk back to that particular question, and this was the first time I'd even bothered answering it. Rebecca tended to scare people bit.
"Well, as that stands, life shall be getting better momentarily!" She seemed to recover fast enough, and launched quickly back on attack mode. "You know that new movie, the one with the cat girls?" We nodded. "Well, I hope you don't have plans Friday night, cause geuss who got four tickets to the movie?" She prompted, and then did her little evil giggle. Yes, giggles can be evil. It's kinda scary.
As it was, any happiness I'd had promptly curled up in a fetal position and died in the pit of my stomach. Derek looked suddenly depressed too, and I figured his happiness was a dried up husk too.
"Joy joy. That's just great, Beccs." Derek said bluntly. "But don't you remember your LAST 'double date from hel'?" We both stared at her with amazingly straight faces.
See, Rebecca likes to set up double dates. What with her being rich an' all, it's no problem for her to get us movie tickets and seriously expensive dinner reservations. And these dated usually end badly, with me getting yelled at. Always me, for some reason.
Rebecca promptly found a pencil and threw it at Derek. It hit him in the forehead and left a little ed mark. He blinked as I glared at Rebecca.
"Ow?" Derek muttered. He may be cute, but that boy sure dows have delayed pain reaction. I laughed a little, and he grinned.
"Ehem." Rebecca cleared her throat. She also seemed to be tapping her foot. "Still here."
