Although i did love the dawn of the dragon music, but it still doesn't match up to spyro 1,2,3,4.
Any Thoughts Please

Yessssssssss- In my opinion it isn't the same with out him. When Stewart left the music wasn't as good as it was ( like in hero's tail).

Stewart Copeland was great for Spyro the Dragon, he did a few good tracks for Gateway to Glimmer and Year of the Dragon, but not all were great in my opinion, as I listened to Enter the Dragonfly's soundtrack, most of it to me was rubbish, there were only two or three tracks I didn't mind. I would much rather listen to A Hero's Tail, but then again saying that, I'm not really bothered about the music in that game either. If Copeland can do great like he did in the first Spyro game then yes, but the thing is, would that type of music go well with Skylanders? That is a tricky one since nobody has actually played that game, and who knows? Hans Zimmer may be pretty awesome at it.

I think if they worked with him as far as level and storyline goes, and combine the two to make a game where his music fits, the answer would be a definite yes.
However: 1) As stated in the post above, we don't know for sure that his music would fit. (Though I'm sure he could probably pull something off anyway.) 2) Last I heard he's reserved to concerts and such, not so much movie/game/show composition. That's what I picked up anyway, I might be wrong.

Chances of Steward Copeland returning to the Spyro series are very low. He's working on other projects..

No. He decided to move onto bigger projects. We cannot force him to come back. It's up to him, and after all these years it's pretty obvious that his mind is made up.
For one thing: Hans (freakin) Zimmer > Stewart Copeland |

I had a theory that maybe it's because he hasn't done the music for the games. Just sayin', music is a big part of any game.

I kinda wish Steve Jablonsky would score a Spyro game. I'd love his mix of electric guitar with full orchestras and choir. But Hans Zimmer's good too... he is Jablonsky's boss after all. ^.^;

Music is a big part of any game.
For example, Sonic 06 as a game was terrible, and so was the story and majority of the voice acting, but the soundtrack was brilliant, and really helped me endure getting all the achievements and beating all the DLC stages.

I partly agree. But it cannot destroy a game. If I don't like the music in there, it's not that much of a problem. It's called a mute button. Then I could focus on the gameplay, which is what really makes or breaks the game. deBlob didn't have a good soundtrack (IMO), but it didn't take anything away from the game. It's still pretty good. There is a better chance of it killing a movie, but even then, it's not that likely. For example, The Room wasn't a bad movie because of the mediocre soundtrack. It was a bad movie for horrible acting, a jumbled plot, and moments that really made things awkward ("So how's your sex life?") |

If you hate the music in a game you can mute it and listen to a playlist you made of songs you think fit better.

Hey, a good artist that should compose for Spyro? Sean Murray...he did Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: Black Ops. (WaW is the better of the two IMO.)
I think Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori could pull it off as well, they did the Halo series. And Jesper KYD (composer of MDK2 and Assassin's Creed OSTS) would do a good job too. Tommy Tallarico (MDK and numerous others) could make one too. |
