I've see a few vids, like I had said before, it looks cool in gameplay, the picture desighn that we see as Skylandes is a pic taken from the game (or a first sceem of the outlook-or it is a test pic with many other looks but they stuck with that one) "I dont know dont go by my book on this one"

Wrong. If the haters (Ones who have no or little reason to hate the game) continue the way they're going, they're going to Stop Spyro forever, meaning that technically the end of Spyro is because of the Haters.

Guys, by saying that Spyro is dead, you are only telling Activision that you don't want Spyro. And as a result, they'll kill the entire franchsie.

And if Activision wants to keep milking Spyro, then why has it been 3 years since the last game? That's not milking a franchise. That's taking the time to try and make a good game. Milking a franchise is to release a new game every year without changing much about the core gameplay. Call of Duty and Guitar Hero are prime examples of franchises that Activision has milked. Not Spyro.

They're letting their emotions over a video game and a character design get the better of them.

I know. Especially on Youtube. I'm doing whatever it takes to avoid any Skylanders videos on Youtube. The comments piss me off. Especially the highest rated comments, since that means people agree with the stupid things they say.

Yeah sure the haters get annoying. But honestly, I'm tired of everyone complaining about them. Why can't anyone ignore them?? Seriously. Everywhere you look on Spyro things anymore, sure, there might be haters but then there's everyone complaining about them. To some people, Skylanders looks cool, but to others it doesn't. Although the haters usually do have stupid reasons to hate, like them liking TLoS or liking the original Spyro better and are tired of the series being resetted all the time (Excuse me if there's a good reason why) or the design and stuff but honestly no one can say this game is awesome yet because it hasn't come out. But why can't people ignore them, like I do? D:

I reply to the Haters who get on my nervces, with stupid reasons to hate the game, such as Spyro's design. I recall somebody refusing to play the game all over a tiny Design. Did that stop people buying ANB or DotD?

Not always. A storyline can change a lot, but the universe remains quite the same. Not the case with Spyro...

That's basically asking "Why can't they keep the same developer for each game?". When a developer changes, so does the design and story. They can't make a pemanent storyline because they can't find a permanent developer. It's constantly changing. And when that happens, the new developer wants to take things in a different direction, hence a reboot.

They just take the debuting escence away. Good things are so awesome when they debut, but the change it too much eventually...

They're too shallow and they won't give this game a chance just because of Spyro's appearance. :/

Again, when we find a permanent developer, we'll get a permanent storyline. But if the developers keep changing, we'll get a new storyline each time, since each developer has their own ideas for the franchise.

You shouldn't really hate the game for that. This game could be the start of something else you may love. You can always continue TLoS yourself, through fan fiction, comics, LBP2, game development kits, etc...

This is understandable.

Sonic games get different developers a lot, but the universe and characters stay largely the same. There are different Sonic continuims, but that's across different media.

Yeah, you can continue the LoS in your own story and words as you please. Though I've seen that some fans only wanted more LoS because only because of its epic story...

I mainly wanted LoS to continue for it's gameplay feel. It was really going in the right direction, with DotD. I don't think it was necessary to change things as drastically like Skylanders is, but I don't think Skylanders looks like a terrible idea....just not a very good one.

Yes, I know you guys are right with this. I shouldn't judge this already. But no offense but Spyro looks pretty....odd..or something...

There. You see? I don't know much about Sonic, but since you said it, then Spyro could have been something similar.

He does look odd. The idea for the design is awesome(coughconceptartcough), but the promo art and in-game model look kind of bad.

I would've liked if the LoS continued as well, I really don't mind Skylanders. Obviously, DotD received bad reception from the fans due to Sierra listening to demanding fans who liked the trilogy after all. And now, some of the fans want Activision to listen to their ideas and such to make a change in Skylanders until their satisfied, when they don't know that they're acting a bit selfish and picky on the type of Spyro game they want...

Really, I don't think the fans had anything to do with DotD getting mediocre reception. Most of the "fan ideas" I hear are story related, and don't effect the gameplay.

DotD got poor sales because it was released at the worst possible time, and hadn't been marketed or distributed very well.

It got bad reception because it was not part of a triple AAA franchise, was not revolutionary, and was not a shooter.

The critics liked DotD, but some of the fans didn't, and the trilogy didn't do well since the conclusion was rushed because of Sierra merging with Activision back then.\

Some fans like the fan idea given to the devs for DotD, others didn't...

TLoS trilogy was not that bad, but I still prefer the original storyline.

The main thing is that Fan ideas that are accepted are probably by some guy who hates everything but Spyro and has no life. There's likely to be ideas made by good fans, but some people just have no life.

I'm still tired of everyone complaining. I am tired of reboots though. Probably why this game doesn't catch my eye. I know there's a reason, but still. :l

even though i REALLY hate the new spyro, this MIGHT be part of the old series. We have yet to know the games story! Cause the level with the castle looks a little bit like some of the classic sky type worlds like the castle level could be dream weavers or something!

You forgot about the re-appearance of the Sheep too, ccrogers...
