actually, it's sorta fun to make a crack pairing with my own OCs

When we had reached the city, Fyre finally spoke up.
"So this is Vegas? It's bigger than i imagined."
"Yep." My tone was empty. Quite honestly, my mind was empty. I wouldn't have been brought back to earth if Fyre hadn't said anything. I was emotionless. There wasn't any sadness or grief or pain. Just nothing. I was in so much pain that it stopped hurting. There was a hole in me left by the deaths of my friends, and it felt so big i decided it wasn't worth trying to patch.
"Where do you want to go?" Fyre's question pulled me out of my thoughts.
"Huh?" I asked.
"Where would you like to go?"
"I dunno." Just then, my stomach growled. I realized that i hadn't eaten all day. The shopping strike had accidentally extended into eating, and not one of my friends or i had even thought about getting food.
"Would you like to go somewhere to eat?"
"No." I answered. I wasn't going to have Fyre waste money buying food for me. I forgot to eat-that was my problem, so i should have to deal with it.
Too bad Fyre is persistant.
"When is the last time you ate?"
"Yesterday morning." I didn't feel like lying.
"You have to eat."
"I'm fine."
"No, you're not. You can't starve yourself."
"We're in America. I can do whatever i want."
"Which means i can go buy you food." He had a point.
"...fine."
"Come on." He grabbed my wrist and I could do nothing but follow. We went to the first place we saw-Burger King. Okay, I know, cheap fast food. What the heck. I honestly didn't care, i was starving.
We got something to eat and got out of there as fast as possible. It was freaking akward to say the least. We were both quiet the entire time-I was thinking start a conversation or something, dang it! And, even stranger, Fyre kept glancing at me. Once when we made eye contact he looked away. I could've sworn he was blushing. But i found myself sometimes looking at him. What the heck is wrong with me?! I thought the first time that happened. I shook my head to clear it. I did not have a crush on Fyre. It was impossible.
...right?
We left the city and went back to the forest-away from the others, of corse. I glanced up at the sky. The moon, which was barely showing, put a soft light into the already calm atmosphere. I allowed myself to think about my friends for a moment. But right when i did, the pain came back full-force. I almost fell over.(And i was sitting)I blinked, holding back tears. Why me? Why me? Dear Ignitus, why me?! My throat felt swollen from trying not to cry. I didn't know what to do. The dark feeling of loneliness covered me once more, and I felt like i couldn't stand the pain much longer.
I suddenly felt warmth right next to me.
Fyre.
I blinked and turned away, blushing.(on the bright side, at least my sadness was gone) A cold breeze hit my left side. I moved closer to Fyre before i thought about what i was doing. I didn't mean to do that...it was his turn to looked shocked. I tried to think about something else, but that only resulted in my friends coming to my mind once again. I couldn't hold back the tears this time. I felt a hand touch my face. I looked up and saw Fyre's face. He looked as pained as i did. I looked into his eyes. I would have never thought amber eyes that looked so much like Malefor's could be so comforting. I wanted to say something, but couldn't. There wasn't anything to say.
And then Fyre kissed me. My eyes went wide. I hadn't been more shocked in my life. I was completely startled. But i didn't pull back. The shock went away and turned into slight disbelief. I couldn't believe it was happening, but at the same time i could. And then he pulled away, blushing. I bet my cheeks were red from embarassment, too. I put my arms around him in a hug. I didn't feel as bad as i did before. Fyre was with me. I wasn't alone. I wouldn't let Shadow kill him. In that moment I knew that i would fightt with my last breath, if not for the vengence of my friends, then for Fyre.
