I had one heckuva weird dream last night.

So, Spyro (TEN version) was about to face off against this....weird anthro crocodile man (who also happened to have octopus tentacles for fingers, and was wearing blue swim trunks). He was apparently some big bully or something, and was terrorizing these two small panda-like creatures who were Spyro's friends. Spyro and the croc started fighting, and Spyro had to go Dark!Spyro in order to beat croc. He was completely in control of the dark form, though, and changed back right after the battle was over. Then he flew his panda friends to safety. After that, the logo "Legend of Spyro 2010!" popped up and some credits rolled.

As weird as the show was, I was actually kind of excited to see a Spyro cartoon.

What would you guys think of a Spyro toon? Which series would you wish it was about? Classic? Legend? AHT? Skylanders?

A crossover between Classic and Legend would be cool.

rumor has it, that one of the employees of Insomniac had a big picture idea for Spyro to have his own cartoon, back during the first trilogy. This person (can't remember his name) was off the Insomniac team before the first Spyro was released, so he was never accredited.

I always thought a cartoon series off the original trilogy would be pretty coolio.

I had a pretty weird dream last night as well, kinda related to a possible show or movie.

It was kinda like the Battle of Warfang in DotD, only instead of Warfang, we (yeah, I made myself into the dream somehow ) were in a different city, a military metropolis that everyone called "New Alexandria". The city looked more like a cross between Warfang and New York rather than New Alexandria (as in Halo: Reach level). The city was classified as three districts...the "residential", the "civilian business", and the "military". The military district, being the capital of a once more divided United States of America, now the North being the "United Capitalist States" and the south being the "Union of Socialist Nations", contained a luxurious and exclusive military club called Club Camelot. I was a part of the North army, and New Alexandria was the capital of the UCS.
Washington D.C was the capital of the "USN". and the two sides of the second civil war were divided by a huge, mile-high wall of fire, impregnable, and each side of the wall, for like thirty miles was a real-life version of the Burned Lands. The dragons of the UCS (yeah, dragons were a major part of our army) had surrounded us in fire to prevent any attacks from the Maxia, who were the enemies we, just plain unoriginal "Allies", were fighting against. Anyway, I woke up to explosions (in the dream), was thrown out of bed from the top floor of the club (I was the International Commander, my own rank, and basically controlled all of our army in the world. Spyro was my Command Second, known as the "Regional Commander", he had control over the North American continent. Cynder was Command Third, the "National Commander" AKA, the military's president of the UCS). I stood up, got dressed in my cool uniform (looked like the US Marines' dress uniforms) and ran outside. Because our city was stationed right on the northern edge of Nort Dakota, we were attacked from Canada by the Maxia forces. Somehow, they had made a freaking City Minecrawler (MDK2, don't feel like describing it. But it is a tank the size of Central Park) and that was fire resistant enough to clear a path through the wall of fire, which was hotter than magma mind you. While the minecrawler sat in place on the ring, the enemy forces came from underneath the minecrawler, shielded by the wall thanks to its treads. They attacked us, we attacked them, and after a long battle (I was on a dragon fighting in the skies, many were on the ramparts, and most were on the ground) they brought out their minecrawler, and we had a Halo-ish ring up in space. The ground forces retreated, making way for the minecrawler, and we retreated to the Halo-II control center located inside a nearby mountain. I activated the ring, and after some time spent aligning the orbital cannon, we fired, disintegrated a dam that unleashed a wall of water that wiped out most of the enemy forces...including the minecrawler. Then we went through and just cleared out the remainder, and I woke up.

Really weird, but...damn...really cool too. I wrote it down, hoping to make a future fanfic out of it lol.

Funny, I've been randomly animating a cartoon Spyro thing (probably will never be posted or anything) combining the two series. I've actually made a script and animated some of it and everything.

How do you do that? Just like how can yoy make a free game. Cause I don't know.

if the success of skylanders happens, maybe a movie will happen. I want a movie for the original spyro, if we are not getting another original spyro, at least they need to close the book somehow...

Yet I've hear that the movie wasn't cancelled but was suspended. And is now back in production? WTH? I found a NewYorkTime article dated march 12 2011 that listed LoS3D as upcoming.
And another source (can't remember what) said that the movie's first preview will be at the Halo movie's playing.

I'm confused.

Yeah, let Funimation do it. There are a lot better.

I think at the very least Spyro does deserve a tv series, although I would much rather see a movie.

If it's Classic, I'd rather a TV show.
If it's LoS, I'd rather a movie.
If it's Skylanders, I don't give a ****!

As it stands, Skylanders would probably be best for a cartoon series. But I said what I did in my last post as I personally don't care about Skylanders at the moment.

We've seen about nothing from Skylanders.

We've seen enough to decide whether or not we will get it.

I hope skylanders doesn't.

What, what I said? Well I'm animating it in a rather traditional style. I'm making the slides with Photoshop and such and putting it together on some movie making program (don't remember the name)

And I think Spyro would be a cool cartoon with animation with an older style, maybe a little bit anime (not too much anime, just a touch of it)

I think it would be pretty cool if they made a show about what happened after DotD, only with the same characters showing and the same voice actors, because I HATE it when it goes from movie to T.V. show and they change the voice actors and get rid of or add characters

I made a similar topic before about what if spyro was an anime(japaneese animated show)
and my decision was

-old would make a good comedy anime with cool action every now and then

-new would be a cool highschool anime with some action still, but less

-and if they came together there would be a highschool anime with alot of action
and comedy all around
