Go to YouTube and look up gameplay for the ps3 version and xbox360 version of this game. Notice how much better they are compared to the other platforms, even the wii. I don't understand why they can't make all the graphics the same for all platforms. Lol I guess I don't understand and I'm not with it?

It's quite simple, when was the last time they updated the graphics of the PS2? That's why they have to release new consoles. Unlike a PC, where you can manually upgrade it yourself without the risk of breaking the system.

The PS2 is way too old for now. But at least Activision managed to release the same game for PS2 and PS3, unlike what Sega did to Sonic Unleashed. =(
But even if DotD has the worst graphics on PS2, I still enjoyed it and I'm planning to get the 360 version as well.

^ It does...it really does. The water looks natural, compared to the ps2 version. Theres flowers and bugs... i like, watched all these videos to compare the versions, and if you look at how the water flows, in the ps2 version, when 2 differents river tributaries come together, its like a big /. But in the 360, it comes together more naturally D:
I dunno why the wii version isnt as graphic, though. |

It's my 3rd favourite realistic looking game, behind Final Fantasy XIII and Sonic Unleashed.

LOVE Sonic Unleashed <3
But I really am in love with the graphics in this game. I could fly around VoA, Twilight Falls, Floating Islands, and more, all day. |

^This. Maybe if I tried DOTD on another platform I'd be more satisfied with it. I've been wanting to lately. 'Cause then again, I don't mess with my PS2 much anymore anyways. |

That actually looks very good as a PS2 game.
Does the game run well on your emulator?

Maybe the graphics are better, but not only they are important. Good plot is also vital. Wait, GOOD plot in DotD? Nah, never mind. Still, PS2 players have God of War 1 and 2, ANB, TEN, SotC, Ico, Soul Calibur, Final Fantasy etc Don't be sad, Darby. For me, PS2 is the best choice for average player (at least in Poland, because of PS2's price), console player of course

Emulators can actually enhance a games graphics. PC is more powerful than PS2, and you can tweak the graphics plug-ins. I improved the graphics in Conker's Bad Fur Day this way.

^This.
Although sometimes, it's just a case of your TV screen. Mine is actually very old, and displays any computer graphics wonderfully. When on my neighbour's giant plasma screen..... They actually don't look as good

Plasma screens are terrible for games. I just have a nice HDTV!
When you play DotD(Xbox 360) on a 40 odd inch Full HDTV, it looks as good as Final Fantasy XIII. I'm not even joking.

We had a HDTV once.... Then we had to send it back - They'd sent us a faulty one. No wonder the picture was terrible
I'd like to get a HDTV again in the future, but for now, I have a small TV.... That's slowly on it's way out But yeah, I'd love to see it on a proper, working (rofl) HDTV. Valley of Avalar ftw!

We dun get plasmas. Cause if you pick it up or something, it messes up the screen baddly.
I'd love to see this game on either xbox, or ps3. Also, i'd like to see all levels ;P |

I'd like to see God of War 3 in action, or DotD, because GoW 3 has awesome serious graphics, and DotD has awesome "sweet, candy" graphics

On PS2 Golem doesn't have his flame breath, he only roars (after the ivy-pillar action in Catacombs and I think in Dragon City).
