I don't care what anyone says, but I loved the Legend games as much as the Classics!
The gameplay was unique and varied in all of them. And the music was inspiring. The graphics were top-notch, and the worlds had such a fantastical, mysterious feel to them. And the games were filled with touching moments!

And not to mention that it brought Cynder, my favourite fictional character, into exsistence!
Such a beautiful, intriuging dragoness...

Yes very true i liked the new feel too really didnt mind how Spyro looked loved the gameplay and all. Awesomely fun.

It had to stop cause there was not really any more story line to it

But there was a lot of potential(I myself have written up an idea for a new game). And there were so many unanswered questions.

I think that questions will remain unanswered... It's like some of those tv shows, like Lost or Heroes.

As I. D. just said, they'd really done as much as possible to the series.

Plus alot of fans didn't like it. I personally didn't like it much, I only enjoyed ANB. TEN and DotD were dark and gloomy. This is because the Original Spyro was all Light-hearted fun with unlimited Breath, chasing Sheep and eating butterflies. So I guess thats why I prefer the originals.
But they've just finished with it now. But that doesn't mean they won't include some ideas and characters from LoS.

I liked it.

They should have made it more clearer on whether Spyro or Cynder were dead or alive though.

I definitely don't think as much as possible was done. There was so much untapped potential, and me and many others see it.

I didn't think TEN was gloomy until the end.
And I thought DotD was light hearted for the first three levels, then it was like an action movie, then it got gloomy when Ignitus died.

By gloomy I meant the levels and settings.
Most of the levels were set in the dark, and Spyro was very negative about evrything.
As for DotD, the problem I saw with it were Plot Holes, bad story, and very Poor Characters. Graphics and Level design were good, but also Free Flight let me down.... I honestly expected more, and preferred Gliding.
Plus the gameplay was all just Button smashing and pressing random controls, barely fun and very poor... but this is my Opinion of course.

I very like ANB and TEN (much more than ETD and AHT), I only don't like DotD I'd like the developers to continue the TLoS, not to make a **** looking like "Spyro's" Adventures. The Skylander's purple dragon sucks!

I actually quite like the design, but thats me and my love for Classical games.

But agreed on DotD.

There is no such thing as a button mashing game, just button mashing players....Tekken has taught me that, and so has Smash Bros...

I thought the levels were gloomy in a unique, cool way, like Lofty Castle in Spyro 1, or Dark Mines in AHT.

As for the story, different people think different things are a plothole.

I mean, the controls were scrambled up and hard to get used to.
Also there were several plotholes like them Growing inside the Crystal, Cynder getting jewlerry inside the Crystal, Flying over the Ring of Fire. It was just generally messed up, but thats just my Opinion.

Personally I wouldn't mind seeing tLoS continued but I think that a new direction is good. Its refreshing, lovable and the game looks like the old School Spyro.

The controls were fairly predictable and easy to get used to for me. But I play a lot of games of the genre anyway.

There were plotholes, but not many, and they were fairly minor to me, and didn't take away from the overall presentation of the story for me.

If I'd have to pick one thing I liked in DotD, it would be the graphics. Very Impressive.

Yes, I loved the graphics. It's up there on my favourite games for graphics list!

The only problem I saw with Graphics was that Spyro was shin...

Tbh, I'd prefer TLoS to continue. There is potential, and if even I have plenty ideas of where it could go from DotD, I'm sure Activision does too. To me, it seems like some people say there's nowhere to go with the series just because they want it done and over, when really, there's so much potential.. ._.

In all Honesty I'd prefer the series to stay as it is now.
Not beacuse I hate it.
Because of the saying "Short but sweet".
tLoS seems short and Sweet.

Agreed, there was alot of raw potential sitting on their desks but... thats activision for ya.

If somebody misunderstood my post, I like ANB and TEN, I don't like AHT and ETD, and I LOVE StD, GtG and YotD I'm the original trilogy fan.

So...how long do people reckon it will take for people to draw Skylander Spyro x Cynder art/porn!?

Oh, it can't take that long!
But right now fans are too busy drawing a durpy looking SSA Spyro

I don't even think it's fair to compare tLoS to the Insomniac trilogy because, aside from a whopping THREE recurring characters, they're COMPLETELY different games. Both are amazing for their own reasons.

Originals had cutting-edge graphics for their time.

Originals had a kickass electronic soundtrack by a famous drummer.

Original voice actors were witty and talented.

Originals had entertaining puzzles to solve.

Originals put gameplay before the story.


So both are very different games, which I love for different reasons. I hold neither in higher regard than the other, because I don't consider them to be comparable.

Legend was scored with an orchestra and choir by two hollywood composers.

Original voice actors were witty and talented.

Legend has several movie stars in the cast.

Originals had entertaining puzzles to solve.

Legend has better fighting mechanics and more breath powers.

Originals put gameplay before the story.

Legend puts story before gameplay.

So both are very different games, which I love for different reasons. I hold neither in higher regard than the other, because I don't consider them to be comparable.

While I would've liked to see what they could've come up with for LoS, there wasn't much to go on. The characters got their happy ending. The world was saved. Malefor was defeated. Where could you go from that other than children? That won't be so fun.

And they advertised that DotD was the last installment, so to continue is to lie.

I don't know why most LOS fans want to see another Legend game. That series is over with. DOTD was the last game of that series. They don't even want to realize that the LOS series is over now. <.<

I'm sick of that excuse. You can do anything to continue a video game series. People won't care as along as they get a great game. Conker is a perfect example of this.

World was saved in Spyro 1.....
Then in Spyro 2, they send Spyro into another world, with a new threat....
....then in Spyro 3, they just come up with a random enemy.....
....then in ETD, they.....yeah, you see where I'm going wit this...

i don't know why is the "classic" Spyro so good. i don't see anything special in it

im a fan of games that people don't like (shadow the hedgehog,pokemon battle revolution etc etc)
and DOTD is one of them but i think both classic and new a equal.......
